An intellectual conception of God may be found in a bad vicious character. The knowledge and vision of God is dependent entirely on a pure heart. Character determines the revelation of God to the individual. The pure in heart see God.
Oswald Chambers
You have probably seen both kinds of people in your life.
The ones who are always trying to be noticed.
Always in the middle of every conversation.
Always making sure everyone knows what they are doing, where they are going, and how well things are working out for them.
And then there are the other ones.
The quiet ones.
The ones who walk into a room and do not need to announce themselves.
The ones who are too busy building something real to stop and perform for an audience.
Those are the real ones.
And real ones move differently.
They do not chase attention.
They build value.
They earn respect.
Not because they asked for it.
Not because they demanded it.
But because everything they do over time speaks for itself.
Their work speaks for them.
Their consistency speaks for them.
Their character speaks for them.
There is a kind of person in this world who never needs to prove anything to anyone because the proof is already visible in how they live, how they treat people, and how they show up even when no one is watching.
That is the kind of person worth becoming.
Not the loudest one in the room.
Not the most followed one online.
The most real one.
The one who builds instead of performs.
The one who earns instead of demands.
The one who gives genuine value to every space they enter and every person they meet.
If you are already that kind of person, keep going.
The world needs more of you and less of the noise.
Reblog this if you know someone who lives this way and deserves to be reminded that their quiet strength is seen.
From Scout Law to Square and Compass: The Kind of Man I Was Meant to Be
“Let us not seek the Republican answer or the Democratic answer, but the right answer. Let us not seek to fix the blame for the past. Let us accept our own responsibility for the future.”– John F. Kennedy I was a Boy Scout, but I never made Eagle Scout. That used to bother me more than I like to admit. I had six different troop leaders over the years. Life was inconsistent, and for a while, I…
WOULD YOU HAVE STAYED IN THIS DATE?
Character isn't what you show to the person across the table; it’s how you treat the person serving you. Today, a man walked in looking like a million bucks, ready to impress his date with his expensive watch and loud stories. But the moment the service wasn't "fast enough," the mask slipped. He snapped his fingers at the waiter, made a demeaning comment about "unskilled labor," and laughed when a glass of water was accidentally spilled. He thought he was showing power, but all he was showing was a lack of basic human decency.
What he didn’t know was that the "clumsy waiter" was actually the owner of the entire establishment, working a floor shift to see how his staff and guests are treated. He quietly picked up the bill, walked over to the table, and politely asked the man to leave—not because of the spilled water, but because "we don't serve people who treat others as if they are invisible." Money can buy a seat at the finest table, but it can’t buy class or a good heart.
Narcissism: From Decay to Destruction in Leadership.. Born of Selfish Pride
C. S. Lewis, in some of his sermons and in Mere Christianity1, described pride as “the great sin.” Unlike other vices, pride stands in direct opposition to God because it refuses to acknowledge anything greater than itself. Yet it is important to distinguish between two forms of pride. A healthy sense of self-pride, rooted in the acknowledgment of God-given worth and responsibility, is not wrong.…
