Full Name: Ankagra ThunderhandGender and Sexuality: Female/Heterosexual Pronouns: She/herEthnicity/Species: Frostwolf greenskin orc (born Warsong, but adopted as a child by an aging Frostwolf elder in the internment camps when she was separated from her older sister)Birthplace and Birthdate: She was born on Draenor before the first war and was carried on the backs of her parents who came through the Dark Portal with the Warsong clan. I imagine she was born in the beginning of the year, during the coldest, harshest months, symbolising a life of endurance, and likely foreshadowing her eventually becoming part of the Frostwolf clan instead of the clan to which she was born. Guilty Pleasures: Quiet times on her own with a bottle of grog in her hand, without the burdens of family, and when the elements are quiet.Phobias: The loss of her identity and her family. The former has happened before when she was captured, tortured and forced to bend fire to her will, causing great imbalance within herself. What They Would Be Famous For: One of a number of shamans of the Horde, she did take a bit of a hiatus to aid the Earthen Ring during the events of the Cataclysm, but returned to the Horde after that, for her loyalties lay with her Warchief, until Garrosh betrayed the Horde. What They Would Get Arrested For: She doesn’t talk much, but when she does, she can be very blunt, and likely offend a number of grunts, or guards. OC You Ship Them With: She has a mate, Mokal Bloodrunner, with whom she has three children, two of them already grown. OC Most Likely To Murder Them: Anyone on the opposing side of the war from herself. This has included Twilight Hammer cultist types, Alliance, and anyone else amongst the Horde whom she has probably insulted in some way or another. Favorite Movie/Book Genre: Stories tend to be passed down from word of mouth. Ankagra probably keeps some written records of herbs, medicine, alchemical concoctions related to healing and mending for her own reference, and to hand down to anyone who’d learn from herself.Least Favorite Movie/Book Cliche: She has no time for what elves and goblins may consider romantic. Talents and/or Powers: Ankagra is fully proficient in everything that is expected of a shaman. She earned the title of Stormcaller while she was aiding the Earthen Ring, and she is also a healer, herbalist and medicine woman by trade. With her mate having retired to be a worg-breeder, she has shared her experience in rearing frostwolves with him as well. Why Someone Might Love Them: Ankagra is no-nonsense. She is a counsellor and advisor when the situation calls for it, and tends to ensure the well being of those around her.Why Someone Might Hate Them: For the same reasons someone might like them. She may be seen as too no-nonsense and straight laced, or too authoritative. She also speaks her mind when she feels the need to, and that may ruffle others’ feathers. How They Change: Ankagra is my first orc and my first shaman. She’s not often played, and her tumblr has been left to gather dust for years now, but on and off, when she has been played, she has undergone significant traumatic events that have shaped her and moulded her into a better shaman, and given her greater perspective into finding balance and helping to guide others as a result. Why You Love Them: She is probably my most stable character. Certain paths in life may not have been of her choosing, but she comes out of situations without losing herself, and when she has, eventually finds herself again. These days, she’s more a secondary character, or an npc, but her essence hasn’t changed, despite everything she has been through. She’s a guide when people need it, a healer when required, and she can still kick ass, even without calling on the elements’ aid. Ankagra is probably the mom/aunt/grandma/governess figure everyone needs in their life, but doesn’t realise it until they are a lot older and wiser.
