I FINALLY went through and got caught up on the Abdirak tags 🥺 I missed out on so much amazing stuff!! Everything is in drafts now so I can add tags after work, my poor queue isn't going to know what hit it lmao
Seriously since 2023 I've been carefully honing my place as guy who leaves over enthusiastic notes on every Abdirak post and I have been slacking since DECEMBER. Wretched
Sorry I have been super quiet and missing stuff this last week. Hope to resume usual service next week.
I tried not to speak about it much because the situation was so awful, but the neighbours who made my life hell for two years moved out this afternoon. It feels… very strange. Brain hasn't adjusted yet. Looking forward to it sinking in and maybe finally feeling at peace in my own home.
Maybe it'll even help me get some fricken spoons back, who knows! Sorry I've been so absent. It's been rough.
Okay I might finally have the spoons to actually give an update. I'm so sorry it's been radio silence, I've really been struggling recently.
Due to some personal issues, I haven't been able to keep up with YMGYP updates. I've been able to post a couple of things that I had pre-written for October, but writing new stuff hasn't been happening.
I promise the story is NOT being abandoned at all and is still constantly rotating around in my head. In fact, when I take my usual November break to write 50k words, it will be YMGYP that I'll be writing, so from December I should have a lovely big backlog to keep things consistent for a while!
I would LIKE to try and get Chapter 50 out before the November break, but I don't want to make any promises. Every time I think I'm back on track, I've been wrong. So to keep pressure off, I'm not making a promise to post any new chapters before December, but I CAN promise that the gang are all living rent free in my head and WILL be back!!
Sorry about the silence again and thank you for your understanding!
I've been really quiet due to life and mental health in general but please rest assured that Elorin and Abdirak never leave my thoughts 😂 I've not moved on, they are still rotating constantly.
YMGYP Update
Bad news is that due to lots of deadlines and general burn out, I'm going to be skipping my next scheduled update for YMGYP. Instead of trying to rush to catch up and then fall behind more, I'm going to have a reset, then come back on the next date I'm scheduled to post.
I'm really sorry to make anyone wait. I definitely made a mistake in signing up to so many projects this year. In my defence, I absolutely thought I'd be rejected from more lol Plus I am very excited for those to be released in the coming months!
The GOOD news is that I sat for ages today working out the remaining events and things that need to happen, breaking them into chapters, and arranging them. And I think I now have a plan to get me all the way to the end!!! AAAHHH!
Which is exciting but also means I should hopefully not get hit with the road block of having to sit and work out timelines again. That's normally what slows me down the most. For anyone interested, I've got my posting schedule updated up to the end of the year!

Update!! I finally managed to finish the rough draft of Chapter 50! Yayay! Which means it WILL be getting posted on Thursday! It will be my last until after November, BUT I should have a huge backlog by then so back to regular updates again I hope!
(And I'm hoping to get if not to the end of the story then very very close...)
And I'm feeling a bit more myself so time to go and finally have a look at all my mentions gkjlhdfglskdjhfgdg I'm so sorry for being such a slowpoke everyone, I promise I'm not intentionally ignoring anyone. Life's hard lol <3

Elorin noticed the subtle change in Abdirak's brow, the way the corner of his mouth quirked up just faintly. "Indeed," Abdirak said. He turned to the crowd, spread his arms high, and said: "For is that not all we wish for? To spread the will of our beloved Loviatar?" He turned back to Whipmistress Rashira. "Perhaps we should reaffirm our devotion before the congregation." He extended a hand up towards her. "In the Frolic of Our Devotion."
Whipmistress Rashira's face twitched just slightly, and Elorin and Shadowheart glanced at each other.
"I'm guessing this doesn't involve skipping through meadows," Shadowheart said, and Abdirak chuckled without removing his eyes from Whipmistress'.
