This is how you wake up after you come out of the O.R. No weight on that leg for 6 weeks! Then 3 weeks of a walking cast.
Yesterday was one year since I shattered my ankle and ironically I’m laid up, back on the couch, due to having hopefully my last surgery on this same ankle.
Holy shitballs what a year it’s been. Heavy and painful but that’s where all the growth happens right?! Change is the only constant and lots has changed.
This has shown me how strong I am when it’s forced on me. 2019 is the year of recovery. Being mindful and coming back stronger than before.
3 years ago today. I was walking again finally after surgery but by this point my right leg and foot had been picking up all the slack and were a bit worn out. My doctor suggested I wear it. That ankle brace isn't really the best one out there but it's pretty comfortable, like a compression stocking with some strapping around the joint.
