Celebrating 200 followers with a compilation of fictional cats/cat-adjacent things I love.

The first is a drawing of Horatio from The Books of Elsewhere, a witch’s familiar depicted here as an orange cat. His fur is streaked in places with a lighter tan color. The second is Leopold, from the same book series and also a familiar. He is drawn entirely a black shape with no real lineart. His nose, mouth, whiskers, and paws are detailed in white rather than black, and he has noticeably glowing eyes. Leopold is sitting directly facing the viewer with his head tilted. The third is Harvey, another familiar from the same books as Horatio and Leopold. He is a larger cat than the other two, and his fur is a mix of different shades of brown. He sits in a way that all four of his paws are visible, and is looking away slightly. His whiskers are fainter than Horatio’s or Leopold’s. The background is pale off-white.

The fourth is Echo, a catlike void creature from Shattered Upside Down. It is shown here as essentially a cat-shaped void. It is outlined in glowing white, and its eyes are also solid white. It has no whiskers and its nose, mouth, and paws are all detailed in white. Its body is black and scattered with starlike white specks. It is making a noise, as shown by the word “Brr” next to it. The fifth is Khoshekh from Welcome to Night Vale. He is a purple cat with starlike specks in his fur, five eyes, tentacles, and bat wings. The purple tentacles with white suctions protrude from his three visible paws. He has two eyes placed in normal positions, two purple eyes at diagonals on his cheeks, anda glowing white eye with an also glowing black pupil in the middle of his forehead. One of his purple eyes has a scar across it from the Strexpet attack. The background is a dark bluish purple.

The sixth is The Admiral from The Magnus Archives. He is a light brown cat with patches and streaks of darker brown. He is curled on his side and three of his legs can be seen. He has a dark pink nose and gray whiskers. The background is a warm reddish brown.

On the right is Erika, an angel resembling a stingray skeleton and marked with astronomical symbols of planets and dwarf planets.

Nexus concept
