“We are afflicted in every way, but not constrained; perplexed but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed; always carrying about in the body the dying of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our body.” 2 Corinthians 4:8-10
In times of loss it feels as if we have lost everything. But the truth is, no matter how much we have lost we still have the Lord our God with us, blessing us, filling us with His strength and peace. All may seem hopeless but we have the hope of God’s grace. No matter how we feel we must remember that feelings are momentary, they will pass. The reality is that God is with us ALWAYS! We can and should grieve for what we have lost. We should never minimize or trivialize our losses. But, in the midst of loss we can offer our hearts, our sufferings, our moments of pain to the Lord for those in most need of His love and mercy. We can turn our sorrows into true gifts for others and for ourselves. We can take our eyes off of what we do not have and focus our attention on what we do have - a loving God Who has a future full of hope for us Who is working everything together for our good and His glory.
Praying for a wonderful year for all the teachers returning to school tomorrow.
