THEIR CATCHING UP CONVERSATION WAS CUT SHORT ON NEW YEARS EVE, but roger had managed to get the girl’s number before the night was over. it had taken a few days to reach out to her again, after the craziness that came with rosamie, but he DID want to actually find out what she had been up to since he last saw her. it’s why he was seated at a restaurant now waiting for her—certainly nothing fancy, as this was just a friendly catch-up. roger got there before her, offering the woman a smile as she takes a seat across from him. “ i don’t go out past washington heights often, ” he tells her, a little sheepish. “ so i hope this place is okay. ” he wasn’t going to make her come all the way up to the bronx. “ how have you been ? been a crazy week, huh ? ” it feels wrong to even make light conversation over all that went down.
