TWENTY ONE TENSES?!?!? no way

IM CRYINJFJF ANNALISE I WAS SHOOK TOO WHEN I FIRST FOUND OUT i found it out through a video about the italian language and the guy was like “oh yeah by the way italian has 21 tenses” and i was like DUDE WHAHTHFNEDJ and i searched around and i was like okay maybe a couple of them are not in use anymore and are maybe obsolete and then there was this article that said “yeah italian has 21 tenses and it’s all currently in use today” i- but most of it is just like the remote versions of them like you’ve got like present conditional then past conditional and then simple future and then the anterior future so it’s not too bad and you just have to add the auxiliary verbs!! i heard that french only has like 14 tenses?? or i think 18?? i don’t remember the exact number but yeah i guess this is why they say italian is quite a difficult and complex language to learn but i love it so much kfjskjdjd i will dissect every bit of this language until the day i perish into the void ✨

this weekend: tonight (friday) i'm going to my gf's house to watch avatar with her and her mom, tomorrow we're getting coffee and then going to a little road trip to a state park together bc she leaves for college on thursday!! and sunday my sister moves into college so my mom and i are driving her down and helping her move in :) i'm going to miss her so much. she's literally my best friend but i'm so excited for her! i'm giving her a little gift basket with her fave snacks as a surprise, too

hey annalise!! i know this was for the sleepover thing last friday but i’m just getting to it now!! that sounds like you had quite a busy weekend omg and i’m so happy that you’re sharing it with me. also that’s so many people leaving for college omg i can’t even imagine. i know a few of my classmates from high school are moving into college now or have just recently moved in (i was never really close with them) and they seem to be having a good time! it’s a bit nerve-wracking to think that, by this time this next year, i’ll also be moving in too, but i’m very excited at the same time! i hope it all turns out well and the situation of the world gets better too. i’ve been here visualizing my freshman year to be traditional and normal, but i really have no idea what the state of the world will be so i guess we’ll see! i’m kind of hoping that it’ll be normal though bcs there’s so much uncertainty with online classes (as i’ve been seeing with my mutuals these days), but whatever will happen will happen. i hope your girlfriend and your sister will have a great time at college and you too as well!! i know it must be really hard for you, but hopefully you two can always keep in touch!! the gift basket idea is super cute omg. how far is her college from yours? hopefully you guys can still visit each other a lot!! thanks again for sharing your plans; i always love hearing from you! you bring so much sunshine to my days like genuinely and i still haven’t stopped thinking of the time you said that italy is my brand!! sweetest thing ever! 🤍✨

thank you, annalise!! as for three random facts about myself, i am the oldest of five children and have truly always wanted to have an older sibling whether it be a brother or a sister so i could have someone to relate to and have someone understand me, i really love listening to italian songs (like it’s not even just bcs they help me learn the language that’s just a bonus like i just vibe with italian songs especially the summery ones), and i love watching travel vlogs but i haven’t done it as much these days bcs they end up making me dwell on the future profoundly and i’m really trying to anchor myself in the present!! 🤍✨

Annalise!! You’re such a gem omg; thank you for sending in these questions! I love answering all kinds of questions! In college, I’m planning to double major in cultural anthropology and philosophy then hopefully minor in classical studies or another field where I can just learn more about the history of Greece and Rome and all of those good stuff. I’m also really fascinated with this one field I saw called astrobiology which is essentially just the study of whether extraterrestrial beings actually exists and all of its concomitants. I’d say that I like coffee, but I’ve avoided drinking it nowadays bcs I’ve noticed that it gives me so much anxiety at night and it becomes so difficult to sleep. You know, I did take the Enneagram test but I completely forgot what my results were; however, I do know my MBTI and it’s INFJ! For a long time, I’ve always worn just shorts and pants, but I’d really love to try wearing dresses more often. As for middle names, I unfortunately don’t have one! My favorite mode of transportation would be just a car because I love opening the windows, feeling the breeze on my skin, and listening to my favorite songs! It’s so relaxing.
