Gotta say there is something so incredibly weird about people blaming Alastor for rejecting vox. Did he have to be so harsh? No. However, vox is and was very much a racist white man with control issues. He openly flaunts alastors boundaries, which is an issue alastor even acknowledges in the finale. And quite frankly, Alastor doesn't owe Vox shit. He doesn't owe the man who constantly touched him a nice rejection. He doesn't owe the racist white man a relationship. We see how he treats his 'partners', he treats Vel and Val like they're second class and is openly racist to them. Alastor turns down his proposal (which was clearly meant to be both romantic and business) and he turns into an Obsessive stalker. Vox, a white man, straight up tells Alastor, a Black man from the time of slavery AND neoslavery, that he is going to become Alastors master. 'Oh its not that deep' it's racism. Stop ignoring the racism. Even if it's unintentional, it's still Vox being racist. The Hazbin fandom (and the writers!) Really need to do some research. Because there is so much bigotry in this fandom and in the show itself.
