listen,..,,..,, I love tj hammond as much as the next person but please don’t ignore anne ogami-hammond’s pain??? she is torturing herself and deserves so much better????? how broken do you think she’ll feel when she finds out douglas cheated on her? she just wants to do good please protect her too

I will admit. As much as I love Political Animals (like I am serious I love it soooooo much!) I could have done without the Douglas Susan drama. Like, the series didn’t continue to do anything with it so otherwise it was just an annoying cliche of stupid and pointlessness.

It was really dumb, if it was meant to show Douglas makes mistakes well (for the scene between him and TJ) then a - we’re seeing that with how he went to sabotage his mother before changing his mind and then keeping Susan updated, or if that wasn’t enough then b - they could have done it a million other ways! They didn’t need to go the typical cheating route. Honestly it just made me really dislike both Susan and Douglas.

Headcanon - Political Animals

Anne once took TJ with her when she went to buy a new suit for Douglas. Initially, it was because of their similar build, but - as TJ pointed out - he also knew what looked good and what didn't. Of course, neither of them envisioned returning to the house with one suit for Dougie, four new dresses, two new pairs of jeans, two new sets of lingerie, a hat, and some make-up for Anne, a pair of sunglasses and a jacket for TJ, and two new pairs of shoes each.

Thankfully, Dougie doesn't mind, and he likes the suit. He also likes the lingerie Anne wears to bed later (though he has no qualms about taking it off fairly quickly). What bothers him is the sudden, quite unwelcome thought that pops into his brain not long after: who picked out the lingerie?

I saw a gif from episode 3 (the bit where TJ surprises Douglas with Anne) and ended up imagining Anne and TJ shopping together. I should be writing an essay...

to be honest i could just be a little biased towards anne, she's always so stilted when we see her, like she has the emotional range of a teaspoon, if you catch my drift :) and i personally, love the PASSION that tj manages in his trysts and the other couples on the show so far have shown <3

Yeah, I guess that is pretty much true of Anne.

But, to play devil’s advocate, is TJ really that passionate? (In his trysts I mean, he seems passionate about the club.) Through episode 3, we’ve only seen him have very casual and emotionless hook-ups.

Now Elaine and Bud, while utterly unhealthy, I don’t think anyone could accuse of not being passionate.
