He’s always liked Ms. Kane, though he doesn’t get to see that much of her. He hoped now that might change, considering he was in politics, though he can’t help but worry that it would be under bad pretenses than good ones. He can’t help but be stress by this business with a potential presidential impeachment, even if his father kept telling him that this was an opportunity. He spotted her engaged in conversation (well, it was more one-sided) with one of his dad’s business contacts. She looked like she was trying to hide her boredom. He approached, flashing the older gentleman an apologetic smile. “You don’t mind if I steal the Director for a second, do you? Just a little professional matter.” The man, he knew, wouldn’t say no. No one said no to him, because of his father. The man went away, in search of some hors d’oeuvres. “Are you having a good time, Ms. Kane?”
