ah yeah i do have quite a few ocs listed but a lot of them are also recycled for different universes so it sorta balances out hehe

Annie would gather her friends and have lots of good drinks and food. she’d probably spend her birthday enjoying the company and telling stories, reliving past adventures and just trying to take her mind off all the work she has to do and still do. hers would probably have a calmer atmosphere to it.

Moriko would be similar in that she would want to spend her birthday with friends. but her birthday would probably be much louder with more excitement given the company she keeps. she’d enjoy staying in and having good food and drinks there, but would also want to go out into the city for a small party or something

i can’t remember if i talked about this or not but if i have im talking about it again and probably in more depth because this has constantly been on my mind

the decision on whether to keep or disband the inquisition was actually a pretty tough one for me to make in regards of IC for annie. tbh honest i came up with scenarios for either option that would work out for her for the rest of her life. but i think in the end she ends up keeping the inquisition together.

bottom of the line is, it may be a selfish decision, but the inquisition is the only thing she has; the only thing she feels like she has some resemblance of control over in anymore. for the last at least decade she’s felt like things have just completely spiraled out of control for her. ultimately she’s never had a purpose in life. her brother has always had a more defined purpose in life: he was the clan’s first, he can continue on to become a keeper. he also has the grey wardens. annie doesn’t have any of that. she has skills but never anywhere to put them to use.

but now there’s this whole thing with solas, and she wants to pursue him. not even just because she’s still in love with him, but she needs to stop him. she needs to get to him because she knows exactly how he’s acting and at one point in her life she acted the same way and it nearly costed her life. she can’t bear to see him try make the same mistake. he’s pushing her away and like hell she’ll give up.

and yes she has her children, their children, and you could argue she’s being selfish focusing a lot of effort keeping this rag tag operation together when there probably isn’t need for it anymore. and it probably is selfish, but her thinking is, is that she needs to put 110% into finding solas and stopping him because if he does succeed, her children are dead anyway.

and back to to keeping the inquisition together, aside from what i listed above, leliana is divine for my canon. her and annie have known each other for years and annie puts so much trust into her. so she definitely has no qualms with keeping the inquisition together and working under leliana. it’s also being converted into a much smaller force so it’ll be easier to manage and easier to juggle all of that responsibility plus raising her children.

idk even before i really got into playing DAI, even before i found out about all the shit that actually happens, i always saw the inquisition as annie’s purpose. like she finally found her calling, what she can put all of her effort and hard work into. because for years and years prior to all of this all of her accomplishments were outwitting humans and being over protective of her brother. yes she helped in previous crises but after those crises were resolved she never had anything to go back to. i’ve talked for a long time about how even though she’s technically Dalish she’s never truly felt like she belonged. how she struggled her entire life with her identity. after she finally relented being over protective of her brother all of these problems grew worse because she finally realized she had zero purpose in life.

but now she has the inquisition. now she has an actual goal to work towards, to put all of her heart and energy into. and because of dear sweet varric she has a permanent home in the city she was originally born to. she has a place to retreat to if thing ever go awry.

but as passionate as she is about keeping the inquisition and staying at the head of it all, i can’t help but wonder if this is the decision that finally splits annie and atavian up for good.

minor trespassery talk under the cut

i know the actual canon is that the mark is on the inquisitors left hand but for annie it is her right hand! her brother has the mark on his left as they both touched the orb at the same time, thus they both got it. i can’t actually remember what her dominant hand is. i either made it left or she’s ambidextrous. im just gonna say the latter because it’s easier that way.

also the power they share over their anchors is pretty much the same, but i feel like both would adapt to it differently. atavian, being a mage, is more in tune with the magic. he has a much easier time locating tears and closing them up. manipulating the magic of the fade comes naturally to him so he’s better at using that to stun the demons that emerge and exploit that weakness.

annie on the hand, isn’t very magically inclined, but she knows how to utilize a new weapon. while she isn’t at adept at using the rifts to her advantage, she does have a better grasp on using the actual magic in her palm to her advantage. the attacks she uses with it are far more devastating and concentrated
