Annikrest / "Sanguine Knight" — The Dead Mistress

Mare Knight isn't the only nightstalking monster to watch out for, but some have much more volition to be cruel with. An urban legend in the valley warns of a shapeshifting vampire with a faux cordial demeanour, behind which lies a remorseless maniac consuming far in excess of the blood she needs to survive.

Annikrest has lived for centuries, and assumed many identities to keep herself entertained. Some took on a whole new form for decades at a time, while others donned only a paper-thin disguise in order to stoke paranoia. In the recent past, she created the helmet and title of "Sanguine Knight", poking fun at the "new fad" of knights in the valley. However, she was soundly defeated by Miko Samurai, seemingly bringing her immortal life to an end.

Following her mysterious re-emergence, Annikrest has become Bullet Knight's most dangerous and sadistic foe, able to summon and manipulate centuries' worth of blood to push her to her absolute limits. She refuses to believe Miko Samurai is dead, and longs to face her again so that she can get revenge... and definitely nothing else. To this end, she means to draw the samurai out by using her daughter; if anyone else should get in her way, it's their funeral.
