You and your wife are so adorable and have immaculate energy. Yall get married every year?? Thats so cute omfg. I hope yall have a wonderful day and year. ❤️❤️❤️
That’s very kind of you! Thank you!
When had our first “official” wedding I developed a sincere contempt for:
Tradition: We like to form our own, please and thank you.
The Wedding Industry: The average American Wedding cost in 2018 was over $30,000.00. Wedding debt is the leading cause of divorce. 42-45% of first marriages end in divorce. Those percentages rise dramatically with each new wedding. The idea that a wedding is “the best day of your life” and obviously you should spend thousands of dollars is CAPITALISM. It’s not love.
We spent $1,000 (over 12 months) on our first wedding and still get compliments from our guests 5 years later! All subsequent private weddings have been WELL under $100.
Anniversaries: ...how many sitcom episodes must we watch about forgetting a damn anniversary? Or finding “the perfect gift?” YEESH!
I think spending a few coins on a new ring and getting married whenever, however, wherever we like is easily 100x more romantic.
Especially if that means supporting our local community. It’s her turn to choose this year and I still have no idea what she has in mind. I’ve been excited since she proposed in January!
Y’ALL. CAN. HAVE. THIS. TOO. <3 <3 <3
