Charcoal pencils, pretty 3b drawing pencils, novelty pencils, pencils so untouched they don’t even have a tip yet (but they do come with Jane Austen quotes), pencils galore accumulated over probably a decade.
All of them blunt and unusable.
I’m being victimised by blunt pencils that I cannot utilise to write my silly little comments into my copy Sun Tzu’s The Art Of War. How dare you keep me from crashing out next to Wang Xi about Sun Tzu trying to reverse psychology the reader into NOT going to war. (Genuinely, it’s a fascinating read)
But most importantly… What do you mean I have to buy a pencil sharpener in the 20s. And in my (late rip) 20s too?
