well, beauty is a social construct, man’s worth is measured by his height and in the end all anime characters are just the outcome of black lines and colored areas. And in this case I don’t think that it mattered if Ed was ugly; what makes him attractive is his sense of morale and care for people that are close to him.
not that I can say that I personally find him (sexually) attractive, I’m almost twenty and he’s what like nine that would be just down right creepy.
