Wrt the post I reblogged about toddlers, I made paper airplanes for the toddlers at work yesterday and showed them how to throw them to make them fly, and this one kid kept trying to fling it, which caused it to lose its shape and fall to the ground. Every time this happened she would either start screaming or drop everything and run off to a corner to sulk. I eventually stabilized her plane with a few pieces of tape and showed her, and she was able to play with it successfully after that.

Shortly afterward, she removed all of the tape from her plane and fully unfolded it, attempted to throw it, and crumpled to the ground in a mess of tears

#anntics #nothing big. read some books. cooked some pasta.#there was a mouse that got in my apartment when it was really cold outside and it fucking ATE MY WIFE'S CACTUS #so we caught it with a live trap and drove it to another city and released it in a dollar general parking lot #I also went to see Iron Lung in theaters 3 times bc my wife wanted to see it (1st time) and then she wanted more popcorn (2nd and 3rd time)#uhh #I had the flu at the beginning of the year and I was miserable and cried the whole time #umm that's all

I have been alive for almost 30 years and have been capable of putting together simple meals for myself for like 24 of those years, why am I so bad at lunch

#anntics #(depression obvs but still. c'mon.)#I have dried box pasta and jarred pasta sauce and if I prepare and combine those I will have food that will adequately sustain me #I have a bag of frozen pizza rolls and if heated those become food that will adequately sustain me #I have a box of pre-made frozen pb&j sandwiches that if set out to thaw for a bit will become food that will adequately sustain me #here is my trick though: as soon as I post this I will stand up and go prepare myself food #most of the time when I'm posting like this it is to gather enough motivation to propel myself into action #here we go.... pot of water on the stove....!!
