An odd pair
grossbiker
With a loud sigh, the smaller of the two just sat down on a bench, looking out to sit underneath a tree’s casting shadow merely because the man was somewhat sweating already from the heat and took a break from walking around. Not only that but he also disliked the fact that he ended up on a date with their new ace. A date. With Midousuji. That was more than ridiculous, and perhaps even borderline-masochistic, even though last time Akihisa checked, he was certain to be more of a dom part. Either way, there wasn’t much he could change about this situation now except for dealing with that guy’s god-complex for the day and ruining his fun by not agreeing to do anything he wanted to -- after all, they went to the bicycle shop together after Akira’s instructions, but he merely agreed because he too wanted to buy some items for his bike.
The more he thought about it, the more ridiculous this all seemed ---- a bet between these two that would determine who of them was weak-willed and pathetic enough to take one step back and lose against the other. One might consider Tsuji to be a stubborn person, but he simply hated to lose, mostly when it was losing against Akira. He could see being the underdog of Ishigaki, but not to this... disgusting guy. Therefore the idea was asked whether they’d get alone better if they went on a date together. Absolutely ridiculous. But neither of them wanted to lose so both were more or less agreeing to go on said date. The man had better things to do on a Saturday afternoon, but here he was.
Taking a sip from his water bottle, he looked around, watching all these people having so much fun with family, lovers or friends, while he was stuck with the guy he disliked the most. Okay, perhaps not the most, but still he was up there on that list. Tsuji didn’t even try to look at his counterpart -- his date, ugh -- acting like that guy was thin air, unless he would talk to him first. But he was also certain that the first things coming out of that rotten mouth would be mockery and insults towards the third year. How did Koutarou even fathom the patience and kindness to talk to this guy? He would never understand.
There were many things he wanted to tell Midousuji: ‘You sure a fun at dates.’ -- ‘I don’t know about you, but I’d rather gouge my eyes out right now, I’d be more entertained.’ -- ‘Time’s up, let’s call it a day and go home.’ ---- literally, anything to somehow crush that guy’s ego into the ground, but he also wanted to be the stronger one who did not initiate a conversation, wanting to show how alpha he could be and how he did not need to exchange words in order to make someone feel uncomfortable with his cold attitude.
So instead, he leaned forward and looked at the small bugs, ants and whatnot crawling on the floor underneath him until Akira would come up with some kind of humiliating idea for this date.
