Who the fuck taught you what feminism is? I am genuinely curious. Feminism (in theory, not necessarily in practice) is about escaping gender roles enforced by society and the harmful effects those roles have on all genders. So frankly, even if I believed your transphobic bullshit about only those with “certain genetics” being women, then you’re still implying that feminism is only for women, which it never has been. And if your feminism is only for women, then honey, that ain’t real feminism.
Also, in typical terf form, you’ve missed the point of this post, so way to make my point. I’ll put this in terms you can understand, okay? It’s time for me to “mansplain” for a second. Terf ideology isn’t about protecting their own or getting rid of patriarchal oppression. Terf ideology is about enforcing their own brand of oppression that simply places women (read: white cis lesbians) on top of the food chain and enforcing gender roles just as strict as gender roles in current society, only reversed to again, put cis women at the top of the food chain.
Repeat after me:
HUMANITY SHOULD NOT HAVE A FOOD CHAIN, NO MATTER WHO’S AT THE TOP.
No one deserves to be oppressed for things they can’t help, whether that’s gender, biological sex, race, or sexuality. The only times people deserve to be oppressed are when their actions and choices oppress others- which is by definition not oppression. Now maybe this might be a shock to you, but people don’t choose their gender any more than they choose their biological sex, okay? Also contrary to heterosexist belief, no matter what a person’s sexual biology is, their reasoning is still all done in the brain. There’s no secret second brain that exists inside the testes or the penis that enables a person to be an oppressor. People choose to be oppressors.
And another thing, Mr. Age of Enlightenment, you STILL never addressed the point of this post, which was about terfs placing “women” on a pedestal. It starts by excluding trans women with an xy chromosome. Next it excludes trans men and afab nonbinary people, downgrading all of them to the level of “man” (because you only feel the need to accept a person’s gender when their identity fits your narrative). Then it excludes cis straight women, because “a real woman doesn’t allow herself to submit to a man”. Then by that same logic, it excludes cis bisexual women and cis lesbians who have ever experienced attraction or relationships with trans women. Plus, most aspects of feminism, especially on the radical side, have a long history of excluding women of color from their movements (which is why I identify as more of a womanist or egalitarian than a true feminist), so as I stated before, the only people terfs have in mind are white cis lesbians who only engage in relationships with other white cis lesbians.
I can agree as a gay person that lesbians are oppressed, and as an afab person that women are oppressed. But don’t you dare tell me that your exclusionary politics are about keeping out oppressors, because it’s really about having a free space to be oppressive yourselves.
