Chae Young-Shin really is one of the best female characters ever written which is made even cooler by the fact that she is a female lead in a male-centered drama

I love that she has her own backstory, trauma, passion, job dynamics, an idol, and a complete unrelated subplot of helping a suicidal battered woman seek divorce out of the goodness of her heart.

That and the crazy dance with the dad was a bonus

Larissa: the tension between her and Morticia, like who though of her being in love with Gomez, she looked at him maybe twice in the whole series and i don’t even think she spoke to him directly at any point

Because of how CC treats TEC it feels like she only did the project as fan service and not because her heart was in it, not just the lack of promotion but even how they are thinner than even the firsf book in the series, where there wasn't as many POVs and didn't feel as graphomaniac-style as the last ones because if how she couldn't concentrate on an adequate amount of characters (don't get me wrong, I loved the first TEC book, they are nice and I'm not a fan of 600+ pages but I'm still sad:C)

Hey anon letting me know about a discourse blog that has been popular for a while now, I followed for a long time, and has turned out to be anti-mspec lesbian and questionable on some other things...don’t worry, I unfollowed that person a week or so ago. I revisit their blog some because they speak very freely and bluntly on some topics that don’t affect me as a white person, which is super helpful for me. I don’t reblog much from them anymore but I’m sure I forget and reblog things I could reblog from someone else while I’m browsing theirs for racism stuff, but I’m not super worried about it as this person is definitely not a bad person, just wrong about some things, and is very young.

i'm not in this fandom but i can only nod along as you detailed the same type of behaviour i've seen in many others, and it's not enjoying the headcanon that's the issue(if anything as a bi person i'm glad to see more ppl using it as an option instead of flat-out ignoring it as a possibility), it's the ppl who insist that character-A MUST be bi in the canon bc rep reasons(honest). no kiddos, that's not why you want it, you just want your ship to be canon. which isn't the same thing.
