In general? She's been surprised that so many people have been friendly at all with her.

I'm assuming this means, surprised in the form of attracted to them in some form... in which case, that would be Jean for his being particularly bold and open with his interest.

Also, in terms of guys, she's just generally surprised that Gideon didn't throw his drink in her face the night of the party.

In general, nothing to do with guys, but overall interactions. Lara. The fact that she showed up at her bar. This interaction is probably the most surprising of all interactions.

Does she wish she'd been more cut out for gang life, or is she glad that she's the kind of person who could get away in the end?

Ayda likes to think that she's a good person, a kind person, usually optimistic. She hopes that shows to others. However, she knows that it's a difficult thing to maintain when you're in the gang. Either way, she secretly wishes that she had been more cut out for gang life, but only if it means she gets to keep those in her life she loves. After all, she did try, for a very long time, to make it work. They're her heart, of course.

Does she worry the Turks just tolerate her now she left the gang, or does she still feel like she's a part of the family?

In truth, Ayda feels that they hardly tolerate her. She's concerned that, since she's the one who made the decision to end her relationship, and also to change her path in opening the bar, that the Turks likely look at her like she's turned her back on them. She definitely hasn't. She loves them. She's loyal to them. The fact that she loves the Turks so much, but feels so separated from them now is one of the biggest things that break her.

Since her relationship with Berat ended, what are three things that have been worse and three things that have been better for Ayda?

Worse:

She's feels like she's kind of left floating without a life vest in the open ocean.

She feels pretty vulnerable, and wonders if she's been too sheltered that she doesn't fully understand all the dangers that surround her. Although, she understands to an extent.

She feels very alone and detached. She feels like she doesn't actually have her friends now that they don't have the gang in common. She feels detached from the community/family feel.

Better:

No longer exposed to drugs.

No longer exposed to violence (directly).

No longer exposed to gang activity (directly).

It is a tie between the Rutherfords and the Turks.

The Rutherfords because of their influence, but also because of the fact that she's worried about them taking more of the Turks from her. She is less concerned about them choosing her.

The Turks because she still feels like she has let them down, and failed, by choosing to do what she is now. But also, her father's reputation makes her a little vulnerable seeing as she's not particularly the most ruthless of the bunch. She's a softie y'all... a whole softie... without any protection anymore.
