He shot up in bed as soon as he heard her, quickly lifting their little girl into his arms.
“What kinda not good, sweetpea?”
Toruun picks up a wrapped package from a nearby table and presents it to her. "I made you a present," she said. Inside the bright wrapping was a leather bound journal.
Loralie accepted the present from Toruun and unwrapped the brightly-coloured paper carefully, revealing a journal. “You made this all by yourself?” she turned to glance at the girl, her voice full of amazement. “It is the most beautiful journal I have ever laid my eyes upon.”

“Please,” she said, “i know you said it was just a dream, but I’m still scared.” Hux stroking her hair was relaxing and it reminded her that he was still there, which was comforting. Some of her worst nightmares and fears involved loosing a parent and this one tonight had been worse than that.
Fingers intertwining in her hair soon halting. Shifting to attempt to lay down beside her on the bed. His elbow supporting him as he peered down at Lana. A child’s imagination was a wonderful thing,but also terrifyingly dangerous. There was nothing the General could do to chase these bad thoughts away other than just being there.
“ Everything will be alright,I promise.

Lana stopped the moment she heard her Father say her name in that tone. She knew she was in big trouble. “Sorry Papa,” she said, looking down, “I was just bored. I thought catching a mouse droid would be fun.”
“ You may continue your fun with the droid,
just refrain from reckless behaviors.”
Lectured Hux,expressing what he meant was a serious matter. Her young mentality would not understand currently,but time will tell. Everything may seem like fun and games up until she ends up in the medical bay or worse. Approaching her calmly,placing a hand on top of her head,stroking gently.

“I learned today in my lessons that some places have a day when they celebrate fathers,” Lana said. She pulled a folded piece of paper from behind her back and handed it to hux. It was a card with a 7 year olds best attempt at drawing hux and herself holding hands. “To the best papa in the whole first order,” it read on the front. “Happy father’s day! Love, Lana” It read on the inside.
Tilting his head slightly,the corner of his mouth turned upward giving a soft smile. Excepting her small paper gift with a sense of curiosity assuming it was a father’s day gift. Examining it closely,every detail and the words written,before turning to his sweet child,His talented little daughter. Pulling her in to peck her forehead.
“ Thank you Lana,
I’ll be sure to put this on my desk so everyone can see.”
"He probably did to be honest," she admitted, "He seems to have appointed himself my minder."
If only droids could facepalm then R2 would have. It let out a groan. “If it followed you I’m going to shock that droid back to bridge.”
"Sorry Artoo," she apologized, "And I don't care how you have to play. As long as we can go somewhere quiet and without any people I'll be happy."
“Good luck finding the spot. I can just barely manage to escape C-3PO.” R2 did a quick look around. “It didn’t follow you did it?” R2 knew that droid had a bad habit of following.
