The point isn't that non-whites are MORE screwed up than whites. It's that non-whites CAN be screwed up, and whites CAN be good. That is my point.

I'm on office hours for an internship on campus. And responding to basic questions on race is always good practice for the duties I have in the active portion of my internship.

So what? Non-whites aren't any more homophobic than anyone else. You're asking a commonly repeated disingenuous question that was designed to inaccurately demonize people of color.

No shit, non-whites in other countries have problems of their own including nationalism, classism, sexism, heterosexism, etc. Not everything has to come from white people, obviously. But in the context of the US, and especially its policies, it's white people who have the power of political, economic, and ideological control.
Do you feel the need to always be right just for the sake of being right? When was the last time you ever admitted to being wrong? Or even the possibility of being wrong?
I tend to be wrong when women of color point out my male privilege and when black folks point out my relative race privilege. Also when queer folks point out my heterosexual privilege.

Nationalism. At worst, racial prejudice. At the end of the day, still the White/European model/social construction of race.
Asians have always praised whiteness, even before white dominance. Historically, Asians viewed dark-skin as a characteristic of farm workers, who were poor. People in Asia don't like black people literally based on the color of their skin.
Colorism/shadeism based in classism. Don't mix it up
