apart from the ships, what show did/do you enjoy more emmerdale or eastenders? do you still watch emmerdale?
I never watched emmerdale outside of Robron, so it’s not a fair comparison. But I really like Eastenders as a whole show. I feel, especially given what I’ve heard from friends, that it’s just a much better show right now.
My god! Your fic is perfection. I loved every chapter of it. The yearning and the love and the passion were just evident through every word.

I haven’t planned an epilogue, but I haven’t ruled it out either. So maybe? I’ve got another fic I want to start up soon but yeah. Who knows!
Robert telling Aaron he slept with Rebecca and then later when he realises Aaron is cutting again and Aaron tells him he can’t do it anymore are some of my favourite rewatch scenes. Their angst was epically good even if I didn’t love the storyline the writers used to get them there.

The catch-22 of Robron was that the plot points that lead to the angst (Robert trying to kill everyone, Aaron beating up Kasim, Robert sleeping with Rebecca etc) were so frustrating, but then once they happened, the writers always delivered beautiful angst and (eventual) reunions.
That’s a really good point. There was a lot of contrived nonsense that lead to some beautiful angst.
I hate the misery and angst when I’m watching something in real time and I have a long long wait for the characters to be happy again but on a rewatch or a binge watch show it’s my favourite parts.
I was just thinking about this the other day! Like the Robron breakup. I eat the angst up on rewatch but can’t imagine how hard it would’ve been to watch it in real time. Angst is amazing as long as it’s got a relatively quick happy ending.

I'm also a chunk chapters reader. And as terrible as it is I also sometimes wait until a fic is completely finished before reading, especially if I'm nervous about it. I know several people like that as well. There are so many people who love your writing I wouldn't worry about any permanent abandoning 😉
See, I’m a wait til it’s finished type of person too. Which makes me a big old hypocrite. I just know people hate Rebecca SO MUCH but I’m having so fun building up to the end and I want to share that fun. Thank you for the sweet words though. *hugs you*
