Your art is so good. I've completely derailed this ask but I don't care it's MY ask so I get to choose the tangentially related ramble. Your art. Looks straight out of a fairytale. whewww oh boy okay...

1. let’s start with the obvious: Jason Todd, my boy, my light, my love... just seeing a picture or panel of him immediately brightens my mood, to the point where he’s my desktop background at work. gotta have those good vibes to get through the day, man

2. my friends!! I grew up as sort of a friendless loser, and a big chunk of my teenage years were spent with someone who was the antithesis of all that is good in the world, who isolated me from everyone else. the friends I have now are so wonderful and brilliant to me that I can’t imagine being without them. they honestly taught me what it’s like to have people there who truly care about you, and my only problem with them is that thEY ALL LIVE SO FAR AWAY!!! >8(

3. people who put up speedpaint videos on youtube. truly the unsung heroes of our time, tbh. and people who narrate creepypastas that I can listen to while watching those vids. Batman and Robin whom? those vids are the TRUE dynamic duo. I love relaxing with them after work!

4. laid-back simulation video games, i.e. Tomodachi Life, Animal Crossing, The Sims. I am terrible at games and delight in ones where you don’t have to stick with a linear narrative, and can sorta make your own fun based on your skill level. maybe I don’t wanna save the princess!! maybe I wanna drown a fake person or arrange furniture for anthropomorphic animals. major respect for the game developers who realize that.

5. books! I’ve loved books my whole life, to the point where I’m an aspiring novelist who works for the library now. and it’s a good job - I get to take home free advanced copies if I want, so my house, naturally, is full of them. and of books I’ve purchased. and of overdue library books... anyone who wants some book recs or wonders what it’s like to work in a library can shoot me a message any time, I’d be overjoyed to answer!

I’ve gotten a bunch of Anon asks wanting to know which Stucky authors have been removing their works. Rather than revisiting the whole thing (which I really don’t want to do), I’m making one single post to say: I don’t know.

I’m not aware of any great spate of fic-removal, but keep in mind I’m pretty unaware of what’s going on generally. Honestly, the fandom could build a six lane highway through my Tumblr and I probably wouldn’t notice until the cars started whizzing past. The only author I’m aware of doing so is thebrotherswinchester, and that happened recently. However someone’s re-hosting their work, with the author’s imprimatur, so you can still download their stories. Here is a link to the post with the downloads, reblogged on the author’s Tumblr.

flannel— do you prefer sweaters, hoodies, cardigans, or zip-up jackets?

I'm fairly sensitive to temperature changes, so zip ups are the best compromise for form and function for me. ( though i gotta say if they go past the natural waist they tend to buckle weirdly. fit is important)

Aesthetically i like cardigans better, or sweater dusters. Pet peeve: I can never find the right combination of closure style, knit weight and pockets. Or ones that don't have 3/4 sleeve BS. there's a lot of weird clothes made for women that are not functional OR aesthetically pleasing.

i know hockpock has another meaning but every so often it brings Pontoffel Pock and His Magic Piano into my head cause i mis-singing "pontoffel pock where the heck are you"

Actual Pock Lore: My sister in fandom @mistr3ssquickly used to call me Pockity, via this disney classic:

So when I wanted to change from the weeby Pocky-based handle I used to have I went with that.

turns out HockityPockity is a pain in the ass to type though, so it got shortened....there are a few places where someone got to the short one first though so there are variations.

To shorten it, I do prefer Pock over Hock. i don't know who hock is and it always takes me a minute.

It is also not "Puck", of Shakespearian fame.
