Camera Adventure 2: #TBT: BTS with LeSigh Vintage
My journey with photography and behind-the-scenes work started a year ago last May when I had the opportunity to be on set with Anoshastar for Le Sigh Vintage clothing. This was actually my first time on a set!! I was pretty nervous and did my best to be quick with set-up and break down (and stay out of the way, lol!). The day started fairly early for me getting gear packed and making sure we had everything we needed. We arrived at Commonwealth (a new speak-easy type bar) in downtown Las Vegas—the interior was gorgeous with dark woods and glittering chandeliers and I was excited to see the fashions of Le Sigh. We met with owners and designer Missy and Greg and I could already sense that today was going to be unlike any other. The models, Tara and Jennie, arrived shortly after, as did Deana (the makeup artist) and we were on our way. Set up was easy with the existing furniture and city-scape so I had a lot of time to be a wallflower and capture all the in-between moments. They day went pretty smoothly (only one moment of panic when we thought it was going to rain!). I had an amazing time watching and learning—like I said, this was a FIRST for me—and the final product came out even better. There really is no way to really describe how incredible it is to be in a room full of such talented artists…and there is really no way to describe how inspired I had become and continue to be. This was just the first….and I can’t wait for more!
