The finale of Henderson reader was beautiful! I love it!! My question is could you maybe expand on what happened after the ending, did they get their kid and what is life growing up with the kid/ what type of parents Steve and reader are and how did they handle raising a baby??? -Birb
They end up adopting a little girl first and then go on to adopt their other five kids, three girls and three boys in total. They’re the type of parents that the kids aren’t embarrassed by (only for a few years as tweens cause everyone’s embarrassed by their parents at that age lol) and their house is always open to everyone. Henderson and Robin’s record store goes on to do very well and after Steve gets settled in his job and finally gets a raise they manage to save enough for a four bedroom house. Dustin is a very involved uncle, trying to get all of the kids into science. The teens and the kids are all aunts and uncles to the kids. Claudia adores her grandchildren and is just as proud of them all the time as she is with Dustin in canon (I love Claudia Henderson). Hop and Joyce are like another set of grandparents and as the kids grow up (Owens spun some story and got Hop his job back) Hop is always embarrassing them on purpose whenever police have to get involved. Steve and Henderson would be very supportive and loving parents, but also overprotective after everything they’ve been through. They’re still deeply in love and their kids think they’re gross for always being so sappy. But they’d also be just as loud and proud as Claudia and how Steve was at Dustin’s graduation.
As for specially raising a baby they’d be taking pictures non-stop over how adorable she is. They take turns feeding her at night and drive her around in the car when she can’t sleep. They freak out over every little spike in temperature and have so much baby stuff gifted from the party. The kids all get custom onesies and shirts with their names to prove they’re the better aunt/uncle.
