I love watching YouTube channels do Reddit stories until they cover a vegan topic, it’s so clear that they all (usually) have a Californian, privileged, “woke” mindset. Like veganism is a choice/basic belief not a religion, it’s more political than anything else. Veganism is way more expensive than any other eating habit/diet. As well as veganism harming the environment more than it helps “the wittle animals” (farming practices, plastic wool/not sheering sheep, etc.)
And like I get it, animals are cute and you don’t want to harm them but like people are animals too and most humans need animal products from meat to honey to milk.
Veganism has to always always be accommodated how dare you suggest other wise or insist I provide you with a non vegan option. “Eat a burger beforehand you baby” is a much more common phrase in these talks than “eat a salad beforehand”
It’s so frustrating.
Anyways none of this really applies to vegetarians, it’s not the same at all and I feel like people need to understand this again. I always here about “regular” people and “vegans” with vegetarians getting grouped in with vegans. Vegetarians also can have a medical reason to be that way as opposed to vegans because there is no such thing as a medical vegan.
Like go be vegan, just don’t be so evangelical about it 🙄.
I’m kinda tired of people dismissing critiques of Clawdeen Wolf’s casting or design as just hating on gen3. I’ve had mixed feelings about leaked designs, but I actually like some things about her officially released ones. I like her little wolf nose and outfit, but there’s clearly a colorism issue. I even posted about how I was shook that g1 Clawdeen wasn’t voiced by a racialized black person and someone still felt the need to bring up g3 clawdeen, saying that Clawdeen’s voiced by a racialized black person now. As if I’m not allowed to be bothered anymore because we have g3 now. As if g3 doesn’t have its own issues.

I really hate how people who have watched BNHA say Midoriya is a weak character. As a fan of shounen, I’ve come across many MCs. Yes, you could argue that BNHA is cliché, in which that the MC has no superpower and gains a powerful quirk. But he doesn’t randomly get a power quirk, he has to work for it. This kid spent a long time (I honestly forgot) moving rubbish from one side of the beach to the other. What drove him down that path was his determination and passion to become a hero.
He was going to take all the chances he got, he wasn’t going to waste them.
Midoriya isn’t naïve or weak in general. We’ve seen many MCs who get easily swayed by things around them. Power, Fame, Money or just being stupid in general. Even though Midoriya was quirkless at a young age, he did not let it get to him. This just made him strive for his dream goal even more.
And he never let go of that dream, no matter what he has to do to achieve it.

i’ve been thinking a lot about Kotori lately, tbh i feel like she’s more of an enigma than the rest of muse. Yes we can tell she is kind, she loves her childhood friends more than anything. She is soft spoken and supports her friends from behind the scenes. But I feel like there is more to her character that is unexplained and left up to our imagination.
Rin, Nico and Nozomi gets their own episodes in S2, which sheds light on their background, their insecurities and their problems. We get to see the anime through Honoka’s pov; We get to know more about Eli through her sister and Nozomi. But Kotori? i feel like whenever her background is mentioned its either with regards to her two childhood friends or the school.
i talked about this with @agent-dragicorn, regarding the old maid episode (also in the movie) in which she plays cards with Umi, she refuses to admit defeat even though she could’ve just let Umi win the game and they could retire early for the night. She didn’t, was it because of her pride? Maybe she wanted to spend more time with Umi? Did she want to see Umi suffer (in an affectionate way)? IMO Kotori is in no way a pushover, and definitely not a simple character, for there are many sides that we don’t really know.
