Hormone roller coaster
Ever experienced a weeks worth of PMS in 48 hrs? Turns out, that’s what happens when you start your IVF cycle with 14 days of BCP, to find out at day 10 you have to stop.
We went for the saline US Friday. Apparently, part of my uterine lining is stuck together and needs to be separated. Despite much reassurance from my doctor and husband, it was still devastating to hear. Not only does that mean another surgery, but pushing back the IVF cycle by at least a couple of months.
I’ve gone from thinking I’d be announcing my pregnancy at Christmas, to Valentine’s Day and now I’ll be lucky to have the transfer done by March. I still have great faith that everything will be ok and everything happens for a reason. But, dealing with this new reality and the sudden drop in estrogen has proven to be quite a ride. God bless my husband! He has offered scrambled eggs, grits, wine, chocolate…and a puppy…
