Not to be weird but I too have a torti/calico and that same IKEA bed for $129, fuck yeah- that thing has survived 3 states and various moving companies not really knowing how IKEA furniture works
Yep -- my mother is after me to get a new bedframe and it’s true I need a new mattress, but the frame itself is both durable and stable even after about 10 years. Also, it’s tortie-approved. I don’t know what they’d do if I got a bed that didn’t have a headboard they could climb :D

I didn't think they still use the sulk gourds any more.
They don’t as often anymore, it’s true -- I think it’s a combination of being bigger and feeling more protected just sleeping on the furniture, and also in the summer they don’t want to as often because they’re not as cold. They seem to use them more in winter as long as I insulate them against the cold.
Polk prefers to crawl up under the sheet underneath the sulk gourd and just sleep there, the little anarchist.
