WORLD NEWS: 2 Day Ansarudeen Conference All About Peace!!

Founded by Sheikh Al-Islam Ibrahim Niass, the Ansarudeen organization now has chapters all over the world. In recent years it was decided to hold an annual conference of all those chapter leaders to discuss matters of the Muslim community as a whole as well as the International Tijani Community. This year’s conference theme was Islam’s contribution to the advent of a lasting global peace.

The first day sessions were held on progress and development, inter-religious dialogue as well as Islam and solidarity. The second day sessions were held on how women are the first educators of the country because they are our children’s first teachers. There was also a session on youth and how to combat extremism and terrorism.

More importantly the message of this year’s conference was to separate the Ansarudeen of Shaykh Ibrahim from any and all extremists particularly a similar named group in Mali. The conference was attended by the President of the Republic of Senegal, Macky Sall, Imam Shaykh Tijani Cisse, Khalifah Ahmed Tijani Niass, Shaykh Mahy Ibrahim Niass, Shaykh Muhammadoul Amine Niass, Shaykh Mahy Cisse, Shaykh Hajj El-Mishri of Mauritania, Imam Muntaha Faye of Gambia, Professor Zakary Wright of the United States and many other world leaders, scholars and students of the Medina Baye family.
