A sketch of Laura
Lil intro to Laura:
Laura is the most pleasant lady you’ll ever meet. She’s sweet and only wants the best for literally everyone, and she comes off as naive. However, she’s far from naive. She’s had a very rough life that’s led to her developing “toxic positivity.” She’s afraid that if she lets people know how badly she hurts, it will hurt them.
Some backstory: Laura got involved with an older man when she was around 17 and fell in love with him. It was an on again off again relationship until she became pregnant. She was young and truly naive at the time, so her family and boyfriend convinced her to top out of college. Because of this, Laura became financially dependent on her emotionally abusive boyfriend for her sons survival. As their son, Ant, got old enough to start school, Laura began looking into going back to school so she could get ant away from the hostile environment. Unfortunately though, this is when the abuse turns physical and this is when Laura takes Ant and flees. This is how Laura and Ant end up in the homeless shelter prior to the beginning of Eradicate.
