for cr music, "Dirty Imbecile" by The Happy Fits has always given me big Scanlan vibes. the theme of the song is concealing emotions. "Darling, dearest, don’t you see/ I’m tough, I’m smart, I’m bourgeoisie? And I’ll play out this lie until we're all dead", it feels like smth he would say to Pike (and i hate it). also "Am I good? Is all I could enough for you?" reflects how he thinks he doesn't deserve vox machina as friends! but don't be thrown off by the sad lyrics, it thoroughly slaps
