Quiet moments with Anthony
Being a gear is never easy. Takes work, and a shit ton of training to nail the basics and in battle it’s easy to get spooked or forget something.
Problems like these are somewhat ignored though. A lot of you get pushed out on missions as soon as possible.
Anthony just came back from a long day of training exercises. He’s supposed to have his real first mission tomorrow.
That’s how you ended up in his bunker.
Just the both of you rambling together…well mostly just Anthony.
The young man just had so much energy even after the drills he ran today.
But what surprised you was how somewhat clingy he was being now.
His bravado was dialed down a bit, while his hand was rubbing circles into your back.
Anthony had previously been talking to you about how excited he was to finally get on the field. To help and contribute like his older brother clayton!
Hell he might even meet Markus fenix. And Anthony loved that guy, but—
He felt awfully, somber. While he never voiced why. He just made sure he got his fill of you.
So touches, honeyed yet corny words. And a peck to the forehead before he went to sleep.
