ok im highkey invested in anthony and alvvar's story... so is alvvar supposed to be a mutant or an alien? What are his abilities? Does he have any family?

Alvar is a mutant, but was not born as one. He became one after his uncles experiement to awaken super powers in people went horribly wrong. When it comes to abilities, he can pretty much only breathe under water and is larger than he would be if he hadnt been turned into a half fishperson. On the other side, Alvar is really good at using firearms, many who know of him fear Alvar for his accuracy witha gun. 

When it comes to blood family Alvar dont have a lot. Theres his mom and an uncle, but he havent talked to them for over 30 years. About the same length of time he have been declared legally dead (related to the experiment). His dad was never in the picture and his grandparens on moms side died long before he was born.

If we’re to look at chosen family its his gang of wanted criminals. Alvar would do anything to make sure they were safe, even go as far as basically selling his entire self to anthony. 10 years ago Anthony used to be a part of that chosen family but after a big fight between the two (related to Anthony putting his dad in a coma and chosing to use it to gain fame) Alvar wanted nothing to do with him.

I have 4 main oc’s. Im gonna try to keep this as short as possible, i can go on about my characters for hours. Just ask my friends. 

First off my hero universe.

Yall’ve seen Anthony, my corrupt superhero, and even tho im writing the backstory rn ill give you some short facts. Anthony’s super power is a black oil like sludge substance thingey he can control (the thing behind him in the pic), and bcs he never told anyone about his power (he resented it for a long time) it gave him the chance to use it as a “villain” he fights against. The public knows that villain as OIL. He puts people in danger to then save them. There are ofc people who have seen through this, but the problem is that he is loved by the world. No one would believe a secretary or a criminal. 

The other guy next to him is Alvar. A fish-human mutant (coelacanth bcs they’re my fave fish). A really sweet guy who got fucked by the system. A gang leader who just wanna help people get out of harmful gangs, maybe even get back to society if they arent wanted by the police yet. And those who cant, he allows into his gang to be protected against people who want them dead. Anthony is using Alvar for his own benefit ofc, Alvar signed a contract that as long as he does whatever Anthony asks for he will make sure Alvar’s gang stays safe both from the police and other gangs. 

Alvar is very much against what Anthony is doing, but he cant do anything about it. His first priority is his gang. 

Next two exists in another story, in another universe. My jackdaw Jacky (ya im creative) and belted kingfisher Milo (designs bellow are old but only pic I had with them both). Everyone is bird people in that universe bcs i really love birds. 

Milo is very soft. Very insecure. Usually places others before him, even when they dont deserve it.  In this universe its a tradition for the oldest child to take the place as the head of the family, getting married and ya know those type of old traditions. Between Milo and his twin brother Lorence, Milo was born first. Problem is, Milo is very much gay and in the closet. Milos father owns a fishing company, which is meant for Milo to inherit once he gets married. 

Jacky is confident. He isnt mean, but he doesnt let people walk over him. He is the only child and even tho his family arent as strict with the whole “head of the family” thinegy, Jacky still takes that role very seriously. His family works as tax accountants or with similar positions.  

Their story is basically an angsty and cheesy love story, I need some cute stuff too, not only just suffering and pain from Anthony’s universe.

How old is anthony and would he have any pets, sorry if I'm asking too many questions I'm just genuinely interested in him

Depends on which design. The canon “now” he’s 35 (pomp)

But I also sometimes draw him when he’s 24-25 (weird shadow the hedgehog mullet), usually wearing a leather jacket with popped collar

He doesnt have any pets, but he would have a dog if he had time for one. Most likely a golden retriever

What did Anthony look like as a kid? Did he aleays have that pomp? Or is that a recent life choice lol.

The pomp became a thing right when he became a hero (around the age of 25-26). His dad was a very respected chief of police in the city he worked in and he used to have a pomp. And after he ended up in a coma (Anthony’s fault lmao) and Anthony used that to his advantage to gain sympathy from people, and thats when he started to style his hair into a pomp “to honor his father”. Before the pomp he had more of a glam metal mullet

So does Anthony suffer from hero syndrome or did he only do the framing cause he's a jerk?

He def suffer from a mix or god complex and hero syndrome. The framing originated from him wanting to save his own ass, but he took it further than he had to. 

When he was 23-24 and after he ruined his chances of becoming a police, he cut contact with his family out of anger and started to hang out in the lower class areas. Thats where he first met Alvar. They kinda became friends, and it was the only time Anthony had actually somewhat cared about another person. Alvar helped Anthony accept his powers, and he helped Alvar with hunting down people threatening Alvars gang. But one night when beating up a rival gang member, the last person he would ever want to see him like that appeared. His dad. 

There had been reports of a person in motorbike gear causing ruckus in a neighborhood, and Greg and another police had been sent to check it out. He would’ve never guessed it would be his own son. 

In panic and anger, Anthony lashed out on his dad (a little bit too much), sending his dad into a coma. No one had seen it. He ran. 

Anthony had two alternatives. Hand himself in, or pretend like nothing had happened. Problem was he was on the list of suspected people. Thats when he created OIL. At first it wasnt meant for him to be some sort of hero, but the thought of attention and love from people was too tempting to him. He wanted to be seen like he saw himself. He wanted to prove to people how great he was. 

“I will find whoever did this to my father! I will bring him to justice! No more people should have to suffer to the hands of that monster again!”

So, a jerk? Oh yes absolutely! (this was just a very shortened version of the full backstory btw)
