Chaos. That is what happened after the Balor’s failed to seize the throne. It was obvious who had share in poisoning young lady Vitello, Zion’s bastard daughter, and the very act disgusted Phyllis making her change her mind on who the plague on earth truly was. Her family. Isiah, Charlene and Coleman. She didn’t want to be the part of their brutal and selfish uprising anymore and, when they fell, Phyllis wanted to flee from the Westedell. However, she was caught and gave up all hope to live to see another day.
She was dragged in front of the King and the Queen, victorious and proud, and Hypatia whispered something to Zion’s ear. He nodded and addressed the girl to come forth. “I have heard something rather unusual. You have comforted my Queen when I unjustly blamed her for my beloved girl’s poisoning. She assures me you had no part in the uprising. Is that correct?” Phyllis was taken aback by the Queen’s change of hart for the one of few remaining Balors. She was certain they would want to kill her. However, when a young man entered the room suddenly and bowed to the proud royals, addressing the woman as his mother who asked for his presence, Phyllis arched her eyebrow.
"Lady Balor, meet my son Anthony Vitello." Hypatia smiled, showing the man, who was eying her carefully. "Being a widow is a very lonely and sad life for such a young woman, Phyllis, and my dear King and I have given much consideration at what shall we do with you. Anthony fell into my mind almost instant and two of you would make such a lovely couple. You have intrigued me, lady Phyllis. You are so much different from the other Balors and I would not give my dear boy to anyone less worthy of him." The queen finished, her king nodding proudly next to her.
What happened next was all a blur to her.
What happened the upcoming week was even a bigger blur to her.
The wedding.
She remembered how much she’s loved Coleman, but his betrayal and cowardice only left a bitter taste on her tongue. This wedding might be different in everything, but she didn’t know what to think or feel for the man standing in front of her and calmly saying his wows.
— Fast forward from the ceremony and sheer, utter pretending to be a happy and synchronized couple, to their actual talking (and what not else *wink wink nudge nudge*) in the bedchambers. —
