Draco wasn’t usually so distracted, but it had been a shite week. His bad mood had started when Theo had scared him out of his bed and ended with not only a run-in with Hermione Granger, but one with Luna Lovegood too. There had been a reason why he’d stuck to the manor for so long after the war, but apparently - he hadn’t disappeared long enough. Although, after everything he’d done, he doubted that it’d just be forgotten. No amount of time would erase the things that he’d done. Worse - the things that he hadn’t done. Becoming a healer had been some sort of penance, but he knew it wouldn’t mean a thing to the people he’d actually wronged.
He was distracted. He wasn’t paying attention to where he was going. He wasn’t completely occluding his thoughts. He couldn’t when they were on the forefront of his mind. Draco walked down Diagon Alley, his intention to grab a book from Flourish and Blotts or grab a drink. He hadn’t decided. The blonde scoffed in an annoyed fashion when he ran head on into someone - despite the fact that it was his fault. Draco brushed his robes off, before finally glancing upwards. “Goldstein,” he greeted lowly, “Do you not know how to dodge?”
