We are in 2019 and people still insist on representing Henry8 as a victim of their wives. Really, guys? I'm really so tired of it that I do not know what else to do.
Sorry, I'm just too tired of all this. When I said that I wanted a series about KoA, I was expecting a series about the great woman she was. Her role as ambassador, as a politician and as regent. About his refined education and the influence of this in England. On how women could be actively political. I do not think anyone wanted another round of women hating women because apparently they could not be friends. Honestly, it's tiring. Even reign with her teenage plot did better in giving layers of complexity to Catherine de Medici and her relationship with her sons and daughter-in-law, but here, we only have MB being the generic vilain as ever, this time with EoY as support in the beginning. It's ridiculous.
Nor can I say how problematic the treatment they give Henry VIII is in this. Now we have TSP, based on PG's book, where Catherine tricks poor and innocent Harry into marrying her, so they do not have male children and so he's right to make her life hell in the years to come up until they marriage can be anulled. Then, as we all know, we have TOBG, which is how the bad Anne Boleyn destroys the king's happiness with his sister Mary, convincing the king to separate from his wife and marry her, and then she deceives the poor Harry and tries to commit incest sic. Again, the plot gives him reason to be abusive and kill his wife. This week I further discovered that Weir released his new book on Anna of Cleves, whose plot is that she had a child before marrying the king, and so poor Harry refuses to take her. Once again, the reason is on his side, poor Harry always being fooled ... As we know, then comes Cat Howard, who at best is always treated as the idiot commits adultery and not as the abused child that was , then again, justified. Here comes Kat Parr, who survives, but many novelists fall into portraying her as adultery with Thomas Seymour, where they both cheat Henry once again.
Seriously? Really? Can we please STOP WITH THIS SHIT? And may we please stop pretending that this is a feminist plot? It is not, so stop pretending it is.
Treating women as liars and men as idiots without self-will is NOT feminism.
Well, now we have another season of tsp coming up around and I'm scared just wondering what they'll do about it.
big brained people like john fisher: Margaret Beaufort was intelligent, clever, brave, kind and a very pleasant person.
idiots who think everything Philippa Gregz says is hundred percent true: sHe kIlLeD tHe pRiNcEs iN tHe tOwEr mmggh sHe wAs tHe lItErAl CEO oF hElL
philippa gregory’s dream world where eoy and r3′s incest babies rule england hapsburg style finally dying out because of the genetic mutations
John Cena doesn't want to be PG anymore! (Sorry if you're a John Cena fan, but I really had to make this lol)
