love having to pick up for someone else's slack the day before a draft is due and the only thing the person has done is copy and paste from another report and it's not even the correct location so basically nothing is done
man I hate being employed. Not even gainfully employed, just employed.
How do you explain to your 68 year old coworker that the reason you're not getting job interviews is because your resume with over 10 years of leadership and management experience doesn't have enough ai buzzwords in it to be selected by lottery and shown to an actual human
I am kind of annoyed that a phone interviewer that called me recently dismissed all my ABM repair experience when interviewing for a computer tech role. ABM's are complicated machines RUN BY A COMPUTER. I repaired the computers too! All the troubleshooting steps I'd take to fix a computer are the same steps I'd take to fix an ABM.
I fixed a machine that was being short-circuited by a fucking ETHERNET CABLE because a coin had shorted the daughter board it was connected to. The tech I was on the phone with said "I never would have thought to do that" when I unplugged everything and then tested. I have more advanced skills than half of the "computer technicians" out there!
These people talk about nobody wanting to work and then won't hire anyone without the exact experience they think they should have.
I do also have experience with things like server maintenance and server setup and using software backends to manage things, just not in a professional capacity because I can't afford to pay $1000 to take a fucking test to get certified when I'm living paycheque to paycheque. Even the most basic A+ cert is $500 to take.
i hate working they should let me be unemployed
