First song in the Anti-MOB song series I’m working on. Check out the lyrics for free! Just don’t steal them
Title: Electric Car Crisis
There’s slave labor going on in South Africa,
But if I told you the reason why it’d baffle ya.
We know about Big Oil and the damage that it’s causing,
Yet every car we buy and drive is just money tthat we’re tossing
while we pump gas and burn it every day
To support these rich bastards while they throw our planets health awaym
They’re drilling and draining as much as they can reach
From the insides of the place and vessel of land we live and rely on now what’s that teach?
Generations of highly evolved monkeys so smart to take over the planet
But Can’t respect it and it’s a habit
For just about damn near every big company
To destroy countless human lives and ecosystems for more money.
Even those of us that hate it feel like we don’t have any other solution
Well enough lawmakers in the UK
Felt the same way
and made the final ruling to end the pollution.
In Twenty Thirty Five
No one there will be able to drive
A vehicle that runs on petrol
Which is good right? Ha, you must not know about the evil of a human soul.
Cuz I could tell ya but first, be ready for the worst
Let’s take a break for the chorus and get ready for the second verse.
Oh no big business man what have you done?
You can take a good idea and make it bad for everyone.
How can you give these kids and their family’s cancer?
Your big money plans really aren’t the answer.
Your big money plans really aren’t the answer.
Your big money plans really aren’t the answer.
Now here we are
They’re racing to build electric cars
For the UK but thus far,
Their great plan they put in place,
Is ruining poor communities and it’s such a disgrace.
One of the main ingredients to a car battery
Is a chemical element cobalt, and how it’s mined is a tragedy.
Slave labor laws don’t matter because they’re that which the government won’t enforce.
So while you listen to this, slaves as young as 7 and 6 are taken and forced into the workforce,
Taking Cobalt out of highly radiated mines.
What’s worse is when activists went out to see this what else did they find?
A seven year old boy gets beat into submission and work amongst others;
mothers, fathers, sisters, n brothers
Have significantly higher radiation levels than most others.
These men are enslaving entire communities that the rest of the world don’t care or even know about
And what’s it all about? Gotta work fast to get all of the cobalt out,
And to make more profit, slave labor is the answer
Which in turn gives all the slaves cancer.
So if you ask me if I still have hope for humanity let this story be my fuckin answer.
Nothing I said in these lyrics is untrue.
If you doubt it, research is what I recommend for you.
Fuck it I said enough and this shit hurts knowing there’s nothing I can do
To stop the horror show I can just rap about it for you.
So thank you all for listening.
I hope you felt this shit like I did and it left you with eyes glistening.
Oh no big business man what have you done?
You can take a good idea and make it bad for everyone.
How can you give these kids and their family’s cancer?
Your big money plans really aren’t the answer.
Your big money plans really aren’t the answer.
Your big money plans really aren’t the answer.
I wish a God in Heaven would strike you down faster.
Cuz your big money plans really aren’t the answer.
