I feel almost guilty, but this is what holidays are all about... gettin’ illuminated twice on one hot summer’s day by Antidoot Wilde Fermenten’s L’Illuminé, once by perzik & nectarines and once by kriek & framboos. Both unbelievably refreshing, fruity and delicious (and so way much more) though my preference today was for the unbelievable peaches & nectarines. This said, the sour cherries & raspberries was perfect for the later evening. It’s strange to be back after almost 4 months of doing other things... Today a lovely road trip to the Brussels region for the first time in who knows how many weeks. What a beautiful day, perfect for Antidoot Wilde Fermenten’s refreshing and delightful Gentiana lutea, a 1 year old barrel ripened sour with organic bitter oranges and gentian root (both followed the brew from the coolship into the barrel). As promised, mild lambic-like tartness moving towards orange herbal woody bitters. Yum. (Interesting Wiki fact: gentian root can be used to combat alcoholism...)
