I feel sorry for the Mel and MelJay lovers on arcanetok because every single pro Mel or MelJay video, any cool romantic edits are flooded with jayviks in the comments screaming "manipulation", "seductress" or "friends with benefits". I just wanna enjoy this ship in peace and watch cool edits of my fav.
If Jayce and Viktor ever come back for a show, I want them separated, placed in different regions. Let them have storylines that don't involve each other, especially Jayce. Idc how unrealistic it is, I need those two away from each other.
What the Youtooz drama has proved again is that it doesn't matter if they're making jayvik figures, those shippers just don't want Mel and Jayce to have one because official content breaks the fantasy they have in their head about Mel, Jayce, and Viktor. Imagine complaining about them queerbaiting y'all with jayvik and then saying they would make more money if they queerbaited y'all.
Personally. I think Riot gave the approval for a platonic jayvik figure but that company is marketing it as romantic and this will cause a ton of crash outs down the line.
The constant pandering to that side of the fandom by Riot, the writers, and VAs is why they feel so comfortable pushing out the most racist and misogynistic bs towards Mel and her fans.
There's a thread on Twitter where all the Mel cuck fanarts and fanarts where she was mischaracterized, her relationship belittled, were compiled, and my God. I've been in a few fandoms, but I've never seen a female lead being disrespected on this level.
That thread was just going on and on. I knew about the Mel cuck arts, but I didn't realize how many there were. Some go as far back as when the show started, and seeing as Mel's fanbase grew around season two's premiere, this behavior has gone unchecked for so long.
Miss me with the "it's just a few bad apples" or "not all Jayviks." It's always a y'all. These posts have thousands of likes, and many of them were created by big art accounts.
I'm so tired of the fandom.
