I am so obsessed with the atmosphere of Gods in the Gaslight , by @antikate and @redfacesmiley.  It really makes you feel like you’re in an old theater lit by gas lamps, or wandering through the late night mists of 19th century London.

Gods in the Gaslight  is part Prestige pastiche and part Good Omens AU (Or is it an AU? Read it and decide for yourself!). If you haven’t read it yet, run, don’t walk to AO3!

Crazy Demonic Cult thing, of course!!!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️😭

HELLO MY DEAREST KATE.

Ok this one has been in my wip folder forever, and I do want to eventually get it written! But it’s a little plotty so I think I’m intimidated by it. The basic gist is that after the apocalypse, Anathema finds evidence of some Occult Activity around Tadfield and comes to the conclusion that the culprit is this demonic sect. She ends up visiting Aziraphale to ask him for some help in tracking down a very old book that she thinks will help them figure out what’s happening. On their quest to find the book, Anathema and Aziraphale get kidnapped by the cult, which turns out to just be One Guy, his brother and his brother’s mate (both of whom are hilariously inept). Meanwhile, Crowley and Newt are left to team up and track them down. There are also Unsaid Feelings floating in the mix. I know it sounds weirdly heavy, but I want it to have a mostly light-hearted tone with the occasional Emotional Moment, kinda like Good Omens itself. ONE DAY I’ll get to it. In the meantime here is A Snippet:

“Good morning,” Aziraphale said with only a slight nervous waver.

"Hi, good morning," the woman replied. She hesitated for a moment. "You… you remember me, right?"

Aziraphale blinked, momentarily stunned by the question - it had only been six weeks since they’d all stared down the end of the world at Tadfield Airbase, after all.

"Erm, yes of course. Ms Device, was it?" he asked.

"Oh, please just call me Anathema," she said. "I'd have called ahead, but, uh, you don't seem to have a phone number listed anywhere."

She smiled somewhat expectantly, and Aziraphale matched it with all the serenity of thousands of years of careful angelic practice. On the other side of the door, he gripped the doorknob, white-knuckled.

"Well, Anathema, I appreciate you've come a fair way, but as I said we're not op--"

"I was hoping you could help me," she interrupted. "I'm trying to track down a very rare book."

The words were like a flash of silver to a magpie.

"Oh?"

i would love to! i just answered 1 in another post, but here’s 10 - What, if anything, are you going to try to do differently in your writing in the new year?

ummm i think id like to branch out a little - perhaps give an au a go? and id love to do more podfic, i really liked doing ‘you dont say it, you feel it’ but its hard to get time and energy to record with Life happening.

Yami! Are there any good omens eras you haven’t drawn but want to!

Oh man, I think I’ve drawn them all, in one form or another? Some I’ve only drawn for my au, though, so I suppose those would be ones I would want to do canon versions of. I’d like to draw canon Wessex Crowley with his helmet off, since I’ve only drawn angel versions of both boys there. If I can muster the energy for a short comic, it would be funny to have him take off his helmet and reveal long, luxurious curls or something, and have Aziraphale completely rethink his stance on the Arrangement. I’ve also drawn Bastille Aziraphale but not Crowley and lots of 60s Crowley but only one 60s Aziraphale.
