Just an Ordinary Day | Antionella & Cerise
Cerise groaned lightly as she cracked her eyes open before shutting them tightly. She didn't want to wake up but the sunlight shining in her eyes was making it hard for her to go back to sleep. Opening her eyes once more and sitting up, she finally stretched a little as she yawned.
It had been a long day for her. After she had done most of her chores around the house, she and Carmine had gone out like they usually did. As much as Cerise loved spending time with her parents she lvoed spending just as much time in the forest. It give her the chance to be lone and test out her werewolf abilities. Well, almost test them since it wasn't close to Wolfstime. Regardless she enjoyed and she knew her parents weren't going to object too much about it since it gave them some time alone. She didn't even want to think what they were possibly doing with her gone.
Once she and Carmine were out of sight of the cabin they started their usual activity together: racing. Carmine was a growing up but every day she seemed to be getting stronger and faster. Before Cerise normally beat her pup in a race but now Carmine began to win a few races here and there whenever Wolfstime wasn't upon them. Today, though, was the day for Cerise to win. It was a close race as the two of them ran between trees and over fallen logs. The two of them didn't stop until they had come to a clearing. It actually surprised her a little. She never remembered a clearing be here before but she wasn't about to question it. She didn't need to look down at Carmine to know that the wolf pup was exhausted since she was feeling it too. Walking over to a tree and sitting down, she stroked Carmine's fur until she fell asleep.
Now she was awake and ready to go back home. Most likely her parents were wondering where she was and she didn't want to hear either of them scold her for being out late. She could easily defend herself but if someone caught her and saw her ears...That would cause all sorts of trouble. Even so, Cerise kept her hood down though her hands gripped the edges of it so she could pull it up when she was ready to. Standing up, she shook her cloak a little and then took a good look around the clearing. But as she did that a feeling a worry began to go through. How she had missed it before she didn't know but it dawned on her that she was in a completely different place than she thought she was. The flowers that were in bloom in the clearing weren't ones she recognized and even the scent of the forest was different.
"Carmine," Cerise called out, hoping her pup would come to her so she had at least some familiarity. "Carmine, where are you?"
