Explanation: Thanks to Tumblr I have discovered the crackship of Bellario (Bellara x Illario), which led me to creating a headcanon where post-Veilguard, Illario works with Taash and the LoF as "community service" for his crimes. They discover some elven artifacts, which Taash contacts Bellara. Of course Illario charms her when they meet, but as they spend time together he slowly begins to develop feelings for her.
My request is a letter from Illario to my Rook (Mourn Watch warrior) asking about Bellara's hobbies and interests, likes and dislikes, all the while denying he has any sort of crush on her lol
Ding Dong!
We're alive, and a Crow never abandons a contract!
So, here we are with a brandnew letter delivered by the Antivan Postal Service.
This time fresh from Rivain with a clearly reformed Illario. Well, he's trying, we can give him that. And then, who would not be instantly crushing on Bellara. She's just the cutest!
Sorry again for the delay.
Live is a bitch right now, but I keep trying!
Hope you'll like it.
It may come as a surprise to you, hearing from me today.
Also, having this letter delivered from wonderful Rivain via one of the Lords’ liaison messengers seems not at all to be in character for me.
But I can assure you, Rook, it is I.
Illario. Illario Dellamorte, originally from Treviso.
You’ll probably remember me for being the disappointing part of the glorious Dellamorte family.
I barely dare to hope, you’ll remember me from our encounters in Treviso and if you actually remember who I am, I’d vastly prefer if it is for our brief encounter, where we exchanged a few words in one of the quieter moments during the great battle against the Elven Gods.
So, I’m writing this letter from Rivain, because the Crows and the mighty Lords of Fortune agreed on a contract post victory.
The subject to this contract is nobody else but good old me.
Thankfully, not in a manner we Crows usually expect from a contract.
On the contrary. I am here, working with the Lords in what you could call a rehabilitating mission for my poor but obviously not yet lost soul by doing something inarguably good: Helping Rivaini communities alongside the Lords rebuild and recover after the war and the destruction the Antaam left in many places.
I just can guess, that Viago, Teia and my dear cousin were tired of me hanging around at the Diamond, complaining about having to do boring paperwork.
I must admit, I could have it way worse (and I had it worse, namely with those inventory lists at the Diamond, believe me!)
Now I am working outside in fresh air and under the warm Rivaini sun most of the time. I get to the beach a lot and I meet a lot of interesting people.
Here and there, I am even welcome to help against some rogue Antaam marauders making trouble, so my knives won’t get rusty.
Once a Crow, always a Crow, I guess.
Often I get to work with Taash, who at times can be a bit harsh, but since they understood that I am not demon possessed like my cousin and having completely refrained from blood magic in any kind or form, we work well as a team. We even have been on a dragon hunt recently, which was exciting to say the least.
Speaking of team:
I know, during your time at the Lighthouse, you happened to be quite close to the fabulous Bellara Lutare.
She recently joined our team out here to help with some ancient artifacts we discovered.
Don’t worry, nothing overly dangerous or confidential - be assured, no one would let ME anywhere near those things if that were the case.
Where was I? Ah! Signorina Lutare!
Not that you think I am back onto some of my old habits here, chasing a lovely lady for the sole purpose of lust and adventure. Nothing of that nature, I can assure you!
But do you happen to know any of her favorites? Anything would be helpful, really!
Food, drinks, her favorite author or color. Does she have any hobbies she pursues in her free time? Favorite animal? Cats? Dogs? Nugs?
I sincerely apologize for flooding you with all those questions. I am just wondering - totally platonic of course, because why would I have any kind of not platonic interest in a teammate of mine. Friendship is a wonderful concept. I discovered it recently. It’s great, really.
My scoundrel days are clearly over, as if with that (involuntary but still…) change of career invoked some other totally new ideas. So, don’t you worry about your wonderful friend Bellara, I have only the best of intentions, I swear on my Grandmother’s life!
Of course, I could ask my cousin.
But you know, how Lucanis is:
Dry to the bones and no sense for how normal people interact - beside fulfilling Crow contracts.
You, my friend (dare I say friend?) will know exactly how to reply to my humble request and not even think of mocking me over my pure intentions to be a kind soul towards my dear coworker, Signorina Lutare.
The poor girl had to suffer so much grief with the (double) loss of her brother and everything else going down recently, I think she deserves a smile. Or thousand.
I know, Rook, you’ll understand.
Sincerely and grateful in advance
Yours
- Illario Dellamorte
(Antivan Crow and honorary Lord of Fortune)
