Mildred and Andrew are truly Ant-man's greatest foes
I need Scott Lang to have an encounter with Charles actually, Scott would be SO confused it would be so funny and I bet Charles would appreciate Scott's personality
Antman (2015)
Director of Photography: Russell Carpenter
Hello everyone. I hope yall are are well, and ready to read the 12th installment of the Fanmade Marvel Universe, or the FMU. I could go on FOREVER for how the MCU and Marvel Comics destroyed Hank Pym and Ant-Man’s legacy, but I’m not going to. Instead, I’ll just do my own version. Yes, Hank and Janet will be founding avengers. I also now have access to actual comics, so I’ll have reliable sources. As always, I’m not a writer, there aren’t my characters, so on and so forth.
Ant-Man
Super geniuses, while rare, have become some of the greatest individuals to ever live. People such as Albert Einstein, Sir Isaac Newton, J. Robert Oppenheimer, and even Reed Richards have had significant effects on pop culture and the scientific community. This game came from years of study, hard work, and tests their theories.
But not all super geniuses are born equal.
Some of them have live lives of suffering and trauma. The one this story focuses on was so lonely as a child, he built an hyper-intelligent AI and called it his “son.” This man’s name, was Dr. Henry Johnathan Pym.
Henry was a man in his 30s who didn’t make any friends as a child, or ever, and made up with it with animals, specifically ants. Even when he finally found something human to love, his love for ants continued. One day, he wished that he could walk right alongside the insects he cares for.
That’s why he stated working on creating size changing particles. No one ever believed him or cared enough to find him, however, so he was forced to join the only organization that would take him, A.I.M. It was shady, but it had some of the greatest minds in the world, and Henry was desperate. Maybe, here, he’d finally get the respect he deserved. He wasn’t entirely wrong either, even thought employees were harshly disciplined.
On a faithful day, Henry was working on what would be the fifteenth of these size changing particles, which he has dubbed Pym Particles. While he was transporting it, he noticed a lose ant near the ant farm. He recognized it as pavement ant, which wasn’t the same species as the fire ants he had usually contained in his ant farms, but he knew that they were more harmless.
He squatted down to it and taped a finger near it. The ant curiously and slowly crawled over, until Henry eventually lead it to his palm. He slowly lifted it closely to its face, and realize that it was a a winged swarmer, who has likely just left its old next and ready to start a new one if its female, or ready to reproduce and pass away like a male. He smiles at it, loving how beautiful the continuous cycle of an ant can be.
While watching the ant, he’s suddenly jumpscared by the opening of the door, and the calling of a fellow scientist Bill Foster. This causes him to drop the tubes of red Pym Particles in his other hand, and it shatters, splashing onto Henry. This makes him shrink to a size you wouldn’t notice without a magnifying glass. Bill froze for a few seconds after watching Hank disappear, before panicking on whether he just killed a man or not.
Hank himself got up, and almost panicked, but kept his breathes steady to keep calm. This was bad, really bad. He doesn’t even know if the formula has been perfected yet. He feels alright, at least for now, but but there’s still another issue.
“How are you going to survive this one, Pym?”
He saw the same pavement ants slowly approaching him. At a regular size, they would mean no harm, but now that he was big, who knows what they could do to him? He hasn’t thought this far yet. He then notice a gigantic shadow hovering over him, and sad the panicked Bill, wanting to help him.
“Henry! What do I do!?”
“See the blue tube on my work table? Get the particles onto me!”
Bill quickly got the blue tube of particles that Henry was referring to, opened it, and poured a small amount of the particles onto Henry. When he regained his vision. Henry saw that he was back to his larger size, but he was not the only one enlarged. The pavement ants were too, and they were starting to destroy everything.
“Now how are you going to get out of this one, Pym!?”
It took hours, but Pym and some A.I.M. Workers got the ants back to regular size. Henry was sitting on the steps near the entrance, thinking about how A.I.M. would punish him. That’s when one of the A.I.M agents, in their signature yellow hazmat suit spoke to him.
“Dr. Pym. The M.O.D.O.C. wants to speak with you.”
Henry’s face dropped.
The Mental Organism Design Only For Computing, real name George Tarleton, is the greatest mind of AIM, and rules over the organization with an iron fist. Walking to his office was like walking to the firing squad for the lower scientists such as himself.
When he was allowed into the room, he saw a man in a high-tech hovering chair, and a machine circling his forehead and jaw. His head was down, but he was very much awake.
“You know why I called you here, Pym.” He said Pym with disgust.
“M.O.D.O.C , I am so sorry for my carelessness! You see-“
“Those VILE ANTS have been a distraction, Henry! And a GROWING CONCERN to A.I.M. objectives! We’re trying to conquer NATIONS, and you can’t even handle insects!”
“I’m…I’m sorry. I promise to be better. For A.I.M.”
“…No.”
M.O.D.O.C. lifted his head, looking at Hank like he was a failed experiment.
“You’re intelligent, Pym, but your mistakes are IDIOTIC! You are a danger to this organization! I hereby REVOKE YOU of your employee status!”
Henry tried to argue to keep him, but M.O.D.O.C. was mentally superior, and couldn’t be argued with. He bowed his head in sorrow.
“Now, leave…and don’t even FATHOM returning! Oh, and…tell Maria we said hi.”
There goes funding for his experiments and any chance of making permanent connections. At least he wouldn’t be completely alone when he got home.
When he got home, he told his Hungarian-native wife, Maria Pym, that he had been fired from his job, and that would mean less money for them to live off of. Maria, being the kind, supportive person she is, reassured him, saying that they’ll overcome this just like they overcame everything else. That’s why she loved the woman. She stayed with him through the worst of times. She recommend that they go out to Olive Garden to help cheer him up, which Henry wasn’t sure of at first, but was slowly tempted.
They went there two days later, because Henry was still cautious. Even then, he seemed tense and frustrated, still worried about their future. Maria saw this and something popped up in her mind. A wide, loving smile formed on her face.
“You know, Henry, I’ve been thinking…”
“Yeah?”
She’d pull out a white sheet with a doodle on it and pass it to Hank. He looks at it in astonishment.
“A protective helmet that doubles as an ant communication device?”
“Yep. Cool right? With this, you won’t have to be afraid of those fire ants biting your behind again.”
“And it would be perfect to keep me protected when I shrink! This is perfect.”
“You’re welcome, drága. You be a real life Ant-Man.”
“Yeah…an Ant-Man.”
While the two stared at eachother lovingly, an explosion detonated within the restaurant. It caught the two completely off guard, and Henry didn’t even get to tell her to get down.
When he woke up, all he could see was smoke, some debris, and the body of his wife. He walked over to her, trying to get her up, but she was unresponsive, and no longer breathing. Hank held her in her arms and cried loudly and angrily. How could this happen? Why could this happen!?
Wait…
What M.O.D.O.C. said…
He knew he wasn’t going to be left off the hook that easily. He knew he was right to be tense. His love for her got her killed, and now he truly had no one, and M.O.D.O.C. Would be on his tale for a very long time.
Months past since her death.
The year is now 2009. Henry is unfortunately alive, and is running on five bucks and the power of friendship. He’s completely emotionally drained, and his willpower is low. He’s been making Pym Particles less, and has barely worked on the helmet Maria gave a blueprint on. The only thing that gave him any happiness were his collection of ants. They always made him smile.
He was looking at his ant farm when he heard a knock at the door. He rarely gets knocks on his door. It could be A.I.M. He approached cautiously, with a fork behind his back. He opened the door, expecting to be attacked… but it wasn’t A.I.M.
It was a man by the name of Agent Phil Coulson, or S.H.I.E.L.D. Henry had heard of the name once or twice but never really knew about such an organization.
“He heard you were trying to get sponsored, Mr. Pym. A.I.M. was trying to keep us from getting your messages.”
“Of course…”
“But we got it, and we’ve set you up with one of our scientists?”
“Really? Who?”
Coulson stepped aside, revealing Dr. Vernon Van Dyne, who was also fired by A.I.M. years before, and has his wife killed. Henry could relate too well. The two shook hands, with Vernon saying that he can’t wait to work with him. Coulson left them to do their science bizz and drove back to S.H.I.E.L.D. Headquarters.
Henry took him to his “lab,” which was just his redone bedroom. Vernon was intrigued regardless. Henry showed off his helmet, telling Vernon what it was meant for, and its tragic origins. It was well built, but it wasn’t capable for communication with ants yet. With Vernon’s help, they could fix that.
The two spent the rest of the day working on the helmet, adding color, and speaker and translator, and the antennae to send the messages and pheromone-mimicking gases to the ants. It was finished by sunset, and was ready to be tested.
Henry places the helmet on his head as Vernon carefully tipped the ant farm over for the ants to escape. They marched out like proud soldiers, and Henry knew it was time. If this didn’t work, it was for nothing. He pressed a button on the side of the helmet and started communicating with the ants, telling them all to look towards him.
He waited…
…and they listened.
They gathered into a crowd and looked directly at him curiously. Henry laughed.
“It worked… She was right! It actually worked!”
“Hmph. Great Job,” Vernon nodded.
With that, Henry told the ants to go back inside and called it a day.
While they were walking to the door, Henry asked if anyone was going to pick him back up, and he said that his daughter was coming for him. The car was already parked outside when they came out. The woman inside turned towards them, looking at her father, and then the rather muscular hunk of man beside them. She was infatuated instantly, but suppressed it and walked out the car.
She was about 5-8 years younger than Henry by the looks of it, with a yellow button-up shirt, a black skirt that reached her knees, a black fur jacket, and yellow-heeled black boots. She was rather attractive, and had a wide smirk on her face. Hank was stunned instantly by her beauty, a hint of a blush appearing on his cheek too. Vernon saw the way his daughter and work partner stared at each other and smirked himself.
“Henry, meet my daughter, Janet.”
Janet Van Dyne approached him and leaned forward with her hands behind her back. Henry almost took a step back.
“Why, hello there, blue eyes~” she says playfully. “I didn’t know dad was working with someone with your looks~”
“Well, I’ve been working out for months.”
“What’s your name, hm?”
“Henry, Henry Pym.”
“I’m not for formalities, so imma call you ‘Hank.’ So, Hank, what do you think of me, huh? You’re blushing.”
“Preposterous. It’s…almost summer, a-and the planet has been getting hottor-“
“Do you see a sun out, honey? But if you want me to be, I can be your sunshine~”
“Well, I…Honey?”
“Uh, yeah, you-“
“Then you must be my honey bee.”
The two pause after he said that. Hank being stunned that he said that at all, and Janet not expecting such a thing out of his mouth. Then after a moment…
“…Pfft! Hahahahaha!”
“That was so horrible, I’m sorry-“
“I’m sorry to interrupt,” Vernon interrupted, “But it’s getting late, and I don’t feel like reliving my youth watching you two.”
The Van Dynes got into the car, and Janet rolled the window down to wave goodbye and yell “Let’s go out for shawarma tomorrow!” before driving away. Hank can’t believe what just happened. He was married just a year ago. He couldn’t be moving on this fast…right? He wasn’t actually going to go for shawarma with a woman in her late 20s he just met, right?
He ended up meeting her at a shawarma joint the next afternoon, making sure to dress nicely, while she was wearing a more casual top, jeans, and sneakers. Hank was tense because of both Janet and what happened the last time he had been at a hospital, but her presence was calming in the same way Maria’s was. Janet was like a slightly younger and more playful version of her. It started off silent before they started asking about eachother’s jobs (him as a physist and her as a fashion designer), their interest, and their life stories..
“…All the work I do now…I didn’t for her.”
“Awe, I’m sorry to hear that… Hey, if you want me to, I can help!”
“Do you even know about quantum physics?”
“No, but dad taught me decomposition reactions. Same-same?”
“Not same-same.”
“But in all seriousness, I know a ton of my father’s science equations. I wanna help!”
Hank sighed. “Just don’t mess anything up please.”
“No promises, blue eyes~”
Thankfully, this date didn’t end in catastrophe for Hank. Little did they know that there were people listening in to their conversation.
They were A.I.M. Agents, having kept eyes on Pym ever since he was fired. They took their info to the man himself, M.O.D.O.C., who was in a more advanced chair to keep his body from falling over. Why was this a worry? It has expanded drastically. Using left-over Pym Particles and replicas, he’s made his head expand thrice fold. He was growing more calculative and powerful by the second, but it was starting to slow.
“M.O.D.O.C., sir, we have information on Pym,” said Eric O’Grady, one of the agents.
“Well, Tell away…”
“He has found new assistants to help him advance.”
“WHAT!?”
“If he gets what he wants, it could be-“
“Detrimental to Advanced Idea Mechanics, I am very aware… We do what we did last time.”
“Kill
“Yes, we…TAKE AIM and FIRE! We shall do it again and again until Pym finally surrenders, and then A.I.M. Will rule the day! Steal his tech too, while you’re at it! Drive him to madness!”
“Sir yes sir!” The workers left to gather their forces, to hammer the nail that was the end to Pym legacy.
Meanwhile, Hank, Vernon, and Janet in her own yellow lab coat, were back at Hank’s house that next morning, ready to text the next step of the Ant-Man project. The Van Dynes would be on standby as Hank would shrink down in front of some fire ants. This was the ultimate test. He placed the helmet on his head, poured the red particles onto him, and shrunk down to the size of an ant. Janet was audibly encouraging the entire time.
Hank stood inches away from the ants, fist tightened, ready for the worst. The ants started crawling towards him as soon as they saw him. Hank pressed the button on the side of his helmet to pacify the ants, and it works of course…on all except for one.
It continued to crawl towards them as the others stared. Vernon was about to interrupt, but Janet suggested
“Let it come towards you! Trust me!”
Hank listened. He waited nervously as the ant got closer and closer. Once it was in arms length, Hank instinctively grabbed it by the mandibles like a Superman trying to stop a bull. He managed to lift the ant over his head and then German suplexed it. This surprised Hank him, Vernon, Janet, and even the ants nearby.
“Interesting,” commented Vernon, “You’re no taller than a finger nail, but you have the strength of a normal sized man.”
“So he’s, like…as strong as an actual ant?”
“Even stronger,” He said as he places a hand on her shoulder.
Hank pumped his fists up victoriously. He could stand right next to the species he loves without worrying about dying. It was a dream come true, accomplished with the help of the Van Dynes. He couldn’t thank them enough.
He wouldn’t even get an opportunity to, as the home would be bombed. The explosion hit Vernon directly, and the shockwave sent Janet back against the table. This caused several Pym particle tubes to fall onto her and make her shrink.
It Hank POV, it looked like the two have become casualties to A.I.M. The men in yellow hazmat suits were already coming in armed, saying that their coast was clear. Hank was distraught. This is the second time this has happened. Hank’s fist tightened, tears forming in his eyes. He couldn’t let them get away with this. Not again.
The A.I.M. Agents were starting to gather the Pym Particles for their leader, when one of them was suddenly knocked to the ground after a loud THUD! They held their weapons up, confused on what was causing this. Was this Pym’s doing? Well, they weren’t necessarily wrong.
Hank had decided to fight them in the best way he could: While small and invulnerable. He wasn’t completely untrained when it came to fighting, and striking in the right place was all he’d need to do. This strategy proved successful, as the agents were starting to lose their.
Eventually, the agents left the scene when they were getting tired of being attacked by him. Only one was left due to Hank slamming him so hard that he was left dazed. Hank grew back to normal side using the particles he snatched back, and pinned the agent to the wall, holding him by the shoulder.
“Tell Tarleton… the Ant-Man is coming for him,” he said coldly.
He punched the agent through his mask, knocking him out. Hank took off his helmet and sighed, looking over to Vernon’s body. He’d kneeled down to it, his expression emotionless, but the tears rolling down his face multiplied. Vernon was dead, and as far as he knew, so was Janet. He was alone. Again.
At least…that’s was what he thought until he heard her voice.
“Hank! HANK!” Janet was calling for his help. She was alive!
“Janet!?”
He shrunk down, looking for her through the clearing smoke. When the two finally saw one another, they ran and embraced each other. She was shaken badly by what just happened, and Hank did his best to comfort her. When they calmed down enough for Hank to change them back to normal size, Janet saw her father’s body. She gasped and hold her hands over her mouth, too shocked to even cry properly. Hank remained by her side, holding her tightly to comfort her.
Hours later, authorities and even S.H.I.E.L.D. came to examine the crime scene. Hank was talking with Agent Coulson on the situation, and how he was going to continue his research.
“You don’t have to worry, Dr. Pym. S.H.I.E.L.D. can give you ann undercover home to live in, perfect you to continue your research.”
“Oh…Why, thank you, Agent Coulson, I really need this right now.”
He then noticed Janet sitting on the porch, staring at the pavement in sorrow. It almost reminded him of himself. Pym abruptly ended the conversation with Coulson just to talk to her. This is the second time this has happened to him.
He sat down next to her, and she noticed instantly. She gave a weak smile, but he could tell it’s just her trying to lighten the mood.
“Jan, I’m so sorry for your father-“
“Oh, no, no, no, I’m fine, really.”
“You’re not.”
“I-“
“Janet, please,” He interrupted, “You don’t have to lie to me. I know that look. Don’t try to shut your emotions down like I did.”
She sniffled, tears forming in her eyes. Hank softened a little bit more, and continued.
“But…You shouldn’t just give up like I did. M.O.D.O.C., my employer…he wronged you, like he wronged me.”
“…M.O.D.O.C, huh?”
“Yes…”
She paused, her sadness turning into determination, “…I want him to pay.”
“…Me too…Janet.” He had to pause before saying her name to avoid calling her sunshine.
The day they moved into Hank’s new hope, they went to the new and improved lab. With lab coats on and the desire to avenge their family, they started innovating.
Hank was the brains and builder. He upgraded his helmet to be sturdier and have farther communication reach. He mass-created even more Pym Particles for the stunts he had to pull off. He calculated every single thing that could happen during their take down of M.O.D.O.C.
Janet, on the other hand, was the designer and assistant. She remembered the Ant-Man idea and started designing the suit that he would wear. They came up with three suit ideas before they landed on one. It was a red and black jacket-like suit, made of woven steel mesh for durability. It had springs at the boots for bounce, a belt that the particles could be stored, and a button in the middle of the belt that could be used to make the suit shrink. She was also tech support, but she wasn’t as good as it as Hank.
As they worked together, the two bonded to become even closer than they were before. Janet was becoming her old self again, flirty and being playful with Hank, and Hank indulged in her each time. They were falling more and more for each other, and they both knew it.
“Hey…Blue eyes?” Janet said while they were on break sitting next to each other.
“Hm?”
“I-…Thank you,” she looked up at him with a soft smile, which made Hank’s heart flutter.
“…I should thank you, too.”
She leaned onto his shoulder, her head resting on it. Hank hesitated, still unsure of this after everything he’s been through, but he eventually leaned into her as well.
Hank and Janet were not the only ones preparing.
A.I.M. was gathering as many soldiers as it could for a possible takeover of Manhattan. While their numbers were smaller than the authorities, their intelligence and weaponry were superior. Even M.O.D.O.C. Himself has designed a more advanced chair for the attack. It has arms with claws and missiles attached, the head device was enlarged and more advanced, and the chair was expanded. It was necessary for what he was about to do to himself.
He stared at the stolen and altered blue Pym Particles, preparing to use them on himself.
“I have come such a long way from being a guinea pig made only for calculations. And, with all due respect… I much prefer KILLING rather than computing!”
He poured the particles onto his brain, and then winced. His brain cavity was expanding, the wrinkles on his enlarged brain multiplied. His intelligence was reaching new levels. He leaned back, his power being at its strongest.
“…Let’s see what this Ant-Man can do…TO THE MODOK!!!”
The super-genius started to float upwards, not because of technology within the chair, but because of his own mind. It had become so powerful, using his physical body was almost pointless. For the first time in forever, he smiled.
The next morning was the day that would change Hank and Janet’s lives in a different way than losing family members. Their Ant-Man suit had been completed, and it was time for Hank to try it on. He came out of the bathroom with the suit on, posing with his fists on his hips to look like an actual superhero. Janet thought he was both awesome and handsome in the suit, and was visibly infatuated.
“Ya scared, blue eyes?”
“I’m done being scared, Jan.”
That’s when they heard screams outside. Hank locked in instantly, grabbing his latest Pym Particle and running to the door, with Janet following close behind. They didn’t see anyone being attacked, thank god, but they were looking at something in the skies. They looked up too, and their eyes widened at the sight. It a giant airborne ship, most definitely made by A.I.M. He could see the yellow men dropping from it.
“Stay here.”
“But-“
“STAY. HERE.”
Hank ran off, ready to defend manhattan by himself.
A.I.M. Agents dropped down to the ground, covered in tech and armed with powerful weaponry. They cause mass destruction and terror, with even one of them being enough to take down an entire building. A woman and her two young children had to hide behind a car to hopefully not be spotted. This fails, and an A.I.M. agent is ready to shoot at the three. He fires… but the shot fires upward.
Ant-Man had grown under the gun, making the agent shoot upward. He manages to quickly knock out the agent afterwards. He turns towards the family, nodding to them before running off to stop the others.
Ant-Man goes small, jumping from agent to agent, knocking them out in quick succession. He also discovers that he can go within the cracks of their technology and destroy it from within, keeping them from blowing anything up. Despite being one man with rather anticlimactic powers, he was doing very well. Could he do this good against M.O.D.O.C.?
Janet, meanwhile, was nervously pacing around in the house. She wanted to fight by his side, to help him stop his father’s killer, to be a hero. She’s stubborn, and that stubbornness was slowly winning her over. She then notice a small pair of cybernetic bug-like wings. They were meant to be apart of the suit before they ended up going with spring boots. She could use this and a spare belt to go out there and help. She puts the belt and wings on, the wings fluttering at her command. She takes a deep breath, and shrinks.
She freezes at first, but then realizes that she’s flying. She’s flying? She can fly! This was perfect. She could fly out there and show how capable she could be. She flies out the door towards the chaos going on in the city.
Meanwhile, Ant-Man would still be fighting the A.I.M. agents. After knocking out his 26th, he would be shot by an energy blast, sending him flying back. This burns him, but the suit’s materials keep him from being brutally injured. He looks up, and sees the organism he was told to fear.
“Tarleton…”
“Insect! You may ONLY refer to me as THE MODOK!”
MODOK fires more rockets at Ant-Man, who shrinks and dodges it. He then jumps onto MODOK, to start the very lengthy process of taking him down. He punches him repeatedly, while MODOK unsuccessfully attempts to catch him.
Janet had made it to the scene as well, and already going for the agents left over. She was inexperienced and was clearly the underdog, but still managed to hold her own due to her shrinking powers, flight maneuverability, and pure luck. Eventually, her luck nearly runs out when she pauses for breath and an agent is about to shoot her.
“You’ll fall at MY terms, if my name isn’t Eric-!”
The agent is shot in the leg, making him fall and cry in pain. S.H.I.E.L.D. has arrived with their own army lead by deputy director Maria Hill, ready to take in as many A.I.M. affiliates as possible. Janet would walk up to her confused.
“And who are you supposed to be?”
Hill took a good look at her before answering.
“Maria Hill, of S.H.I.E.L.D.”
“Nice to meet you, Maria Hill, of S.H.I.E.L.D. You’re late!” Janet would fly off after, and Maria would eye-roll the jab.
Ant-Man was still doing surprisingly well against the larger, seemingly smarter foe. He circled around him like a monkey swinging across trees. He managed to trick his machine into firing missiles at its missiles, making them explode. He even mange to make one of his robotic claw limbs falls to the ground, which was the final straw. MODOK pulled off what remained of the limb with his remaining claw before Ant-Man could jump off, brushing him and making him drop the Pym Particle. He try to reach for it, but is pulled away by MODOK. MODOK uses his claw to finish Hank off. He dodges the first by shrinking, by the second one seems to him. MODOK smiles, thinking that he finally did it… but then he hears his voice.
“Did you know that ants can lift up to 50 times their weight?”
MODOK groaned as he felt the Ant-Man push his claw. He truly was an insect, an impossible-to-kill pest, but all humans have their limits. He kept pushing, hopping that this wannabe hero would falter.
“Get away from my man!,” MODOK heard from the distance. Another small human flew in his faced, and he failed to try and hit her down with his claw or blast her down with her head laser. He eventually gets annoyed enough to finally use his own hands to catch her successfully, and then throwing her aside.
“With that pesky bee out the way…Any last words, Pym…”
“Sure,” Hank said breathlessly, still in pain, “You’ve made a fatal mistake, Tarleton.”
“And what may THAT be?”
“You don’t understand the little guy.”
He pressed the button on the side of his helmet, summoning all of the ants in the neighborhood to attack MODOK. They all come in swarms, stinging and bitting MODOK repeatedly, so much that it disrupts his telepathy and makes him fall to the ground in pain. Janet gets up and sees this, spinning around in the air in joy.
“Janet now!” Hank yells, and Janet understands what she must do. She picks up the Pym Particle and throws it directly at MODOK. The mental organism yells out as the particles affect him and shrink him so small that he’s no longer in the real world. As far as Hank is concerned, MODOK is gone for good. The ants then disperse elsewhere.
Janet flies over to Hank and helps him up, his ankle and knee being sprain by the fall. The two grow back to their normal size, and people surround them instantly, in awe and thankful.
“Who are you?” They ask, “What’s your superhero name,” they ask, and they answer.
“Uhm…We’re-“
“MEET THE ANT-MAN! AAAAAAAAND THE WASP!”
The people cheer for the heroes as Janet poses and holds the injured Hank. Hank just smiles, proud of himself. Deputy Director Hill approaches them, and whispers something in their ear:
“Do you wish to join the Marvel Initiative.”
Janet nods in agreement. Hank shakes his head in disagreement, but is tempted by Janet after she nodded her head more aggressively.
Months pass since the invasion of A.I.M. While their organization is weakened, their headquarters still stand. To combat it, Hank has created his own company funded by S.H.I.E.LD. called Pym Industries. It’s essentially a more ethical version of A.I.M. that doesn’t want to take over the world.
Hank, being thankful for his new girlfriend saving his life, has made her a new suit just for her. It was bee/wasp teamed, being black with yellow stripes, and came with headphones that could be used for communication. When the suit was revealed to Janet as a surprise, she clapped her hands with joy and kissed him on the cheek before walking away with it.
After this, Hank got a call by a familiar man.
“Fury?”
“Dr. Pym,” said Nick Fury, director of S.H.I.E.L.D. “Glad we could finally speak.”
“What is it. I already got signed up for your gathering program.”
“I got a task for you, Doctor. We found him, and we were hoping that you and your love-bug take care of him.”
“Who is he, exactly?”
“He is…a man out of time”
