The first episode of Dollhouse aired on February 13, 2009. While a pilot (Echo) was filmed, it was decided to start the series with the episode Ghost. Dollhouse was a scifi show that offered reprogrammable "dolls" or "Actives" to meet clients' needs. In the first episode Echo was programmed to rescue a man's kidnapped daughter.
