Now that there's new fans of The New Pope (and the main character, Luigi Cavallo), I have new people to torment with the knowledge that Antonio Petrocelli was in several Italian billiards* romantic comedies in the 80s and 90s, and he looked like this in them. Antonio is a lovely man but doesn't speak much English, so if you shoot him a message on Instagram to say you enjoyed Cavallo, he'll very sweetly thank you, apologise for his English, then invite you to stay at his olive farm in Tuscany any time you're in town.
