I think we have figured out a way to keep the ants of if the dog food. Bowl in a bowl. Big bowl has water in it and a couple bricks so the inner bowl stays still. Day 9 & 10 (Sunday & Monday) of LET’S CHANGE ALL THE THINGS Sunday Josh had to work : ( I slept in and then organized some flooring and then moved some shelves and then went back to sleep... for a long time 😂😬. As I was sleeping Dove and Carl came home and working a little on the plumbing in the guest bath! Then they went to dinner with friends and I watched a marathon of season three of True Detective and saw some goose visitors! It was nice to have a lazy day! - Today, Monday, we all (yes, including me!) got started early! Around or before 9:00! My personal goal was to remove the carpet and pad and tack strips and staples from the master bedroom. So I got to work. Mama Dove and Josh started figuring out flooring through the hallway and into the first little bedroom and Carl continued his masterful work in the bathroom! - Then.... terror struck. As I lifted up a large section of carpet to be taken to the dumpster from the master, I felt something crawling on me! It was an ant. I looked down and SAW HUNDREDS OF ANTS on the carpet. Then I turned around saw hundreds more and saw they had made a home in OUR HOME 😳😫☠️ I don’t like things that swarm. So I had a moment and then we sprayed. Then Mama Dove and Josh went outside and attacked the jungle that was growing outside the master side of the house so that we could kill the ants from outside. Those two m did an incredible job. I stayed inside, cried for my mommy, and kept removing dead ant carpet while keeping the shop vac very close. I also called Shipley Pest Solutions and they made me feel SO much better. If you have a bug problem- call them first!! - I succeeded in completely clearing out the master bedroom which included some time spent under the bed, Carl played with fire, and Josh remains the flooring king. After she prepped some delicious veggies and chicken for us, Dove spent some much deserved time with friends!! Josh then grilled those bad boys up and we had an artfully displayed and very tasty dinner!
