Got some yard work in yesterday ☀️🧑🌾
Also, I'm a little disappointed in myself about needing to take the break. I was THIS CLOSE to finishing mowing, but when I finished the back yard and had to drag the lawnmower up the little hill to finish the front yard, I was panting to the point where Zosia was about to show up, offer me a bottle of water, and tell me that according to every doctor on the planet, I was on the verge of heatstroke.
Today's project is to finish the job of clearing out the dead pine trees I cut down last year. First I will use the string trimmer to clear out the weeds. That is redvine growing over the stumps. Then I'll use the chain saw to cut the stumps to the ground and cut up the logs into small pieces I can lift with out screwing up my back again.
Where I am starting at.
You can barely see the logs, as they are so covered in weeds. These trees are between 10 and 16 inches in diameter and the logs are between 5 and 25 feet long. There is a fourth stump that is further back I didn't photograph. I may or may not get to it.
This is a big job, and it's going to get up to 83f today. I will feel overwhelmed, but posting it here will keep me from giving up. I am putting on a show and you all are my audience. I'll post updates as I take breaks.
my dad's hyperfixation of the month is plants so he's getting really into gardening and he's testing different soil mixtures with different water types okay great
very good
Out of rabid scientific curiosity I'm buying a scythe.
